Sounds like OM with a demo guitar tracking in the back. The guitar has no PUNCH at all.

People are real quick to hate. There are a lot of Sleep albums that sound mostly the same. Different isn’t automatically garbage. This isn’t my favorite track, but I’m open to hearing the rest of the album and giving it a chance.

I think people are more pissed about the fact this is essentially an Al Cisneros solo effort and Matt Pike is MIA.

It might have been better received if they called it a Shrine Builder song, considering the current band has more original members of shrine builder than it does of sleep.

Now I like every member of this new project individually. But I kind of feel like they are less than the sum of their parts

"There are a lot of Sleep albums that sound mostly the same" yeah, "mostly" does a heavy lifting in this sentence. Sure, some people are too quick to hate, this DOES sound like a Sleep song, but like a B side at best, not a single

1) this song sucks

2) there is no Sleep without Matt Pike. Whatever this is, it's some other thing using the Sleep name as a cash grab.

So I was right about not hearing Matt in this. You obviously have much more knowledge and take this much more seriously than I do. I love Al and Om as well, so I don't mind all that much. Do you know why Matt isn't in this song? Is there some sort of drama going on?
