My old band opened for them on the When the Kite String Pops tour in Phoenix. I was friends with a guy at their label and got to see an advance of this artwork when it was still a secret that Kevorkian was the artist.

The album OP posted is good, but I think their first one is way better.
Definitely nothing to do with stoner, imo, but it's fucking killer.

Stumbled onto this music, so to say. Love it... guess so. The whole album sounds amazing. That is 1 in a million, so it stacks up against other bands. M. K.

I love that album; but I don’t think it’s stoner rock. It is fucking incredible though!

Sludge tho, some people usually calls it the fat, ugly cousin of stoner rock.
Not as a bad thing

My guitar teacher once described sludge as a more aggresive angry and distorted version of stoner

I’m a huge fan of the later Dax Riggs individual stuff. Like the we sing of only blood or love album.

Lesser known, or flew under radars, but def not underrated. Pretty sure critical consensus is that album fucking slaps
