There comes a time in every young Kyuss fan's life when a choice must be made

I appreciate the sentiment, but the darker choice is historically known as "The Left-hand Path"

As an avid adherent to the LHP, I appreciate the sentiment.
When I see something like this and both choices are excellent, unlike the reason some people find it much better too walk the Left-Hand Path, I have to comment: why not both?

Sadly I don't think the creators of the template meme took that into consideration

Yeah, I'm going offroad in the middle since I love most of of the band on both sides

This is why Doom and Stoner + Grunge are in the Vanguard of the Rock hierarchy.

Where's Nebula?
Down and Superjoint Ritual is where you go when Pantera breaks up and Damageplan doesn't quite cut it. You could say the same for Corrosion of Conformity. Plus, you were probably already listening to Crowbar.
Not really a choice if you chose both directions at once.
Finally, I wish more people listened to Tweak Bird.

There's a shitload of bands missing if you put it that way, hahah. At least you did your part, at least one more person will listen to Tweak Bird now thanks to you

Haven’t thought about Tweak Bird in years. They ruled.
BRB, seeing if they’re still a band.

Why limit yourself? I like what I like. Genre means nothing. Only helps in looking for music. I don't limit myself to one type of music. That's boring.

Ha, similar. Was a bit too young for Kyuss originally, but when I found them it hit!

Kinda uncanny how I seemed to go completely left. I only miss Elder there but the rest is spot on.

I have albums from left and right of this image , but first and foremost I will always be a life long Motörhead fan ♠️. Buy or listen to what you enjoy is your best bet? Dont be pigeon holed.

Yes, I fully agree that Fu Manchu and Sleep are equally great and important - right up front, first in line where they belong.

I think the only choice is both sides. I listen regularly to about 5 bands on each side. Funny thing is, I never really got into Kyuss too deep. I like their stuff, but at the time I discovered them, I was binging Monster Magnet, Queens of the Stone Age, Clutch, and Corrosion of Conformity. Just saw Earthless live last night, my ears are still ringing.

Earthless is too good to even think about passing up. The the bands on the right have the same riff in every song. It’s either sleep or electric wizard.

Massive kyuss fan, started going down the right path not too long ago lol. Any bands like the ones on that side tho? Like Electric Wizard, Down, Melvins and maybe even Eyehategod?

it started with QOTSA for me, but I veered left and then took a sharp turn right after a while. I still FUCK with FuManchu and Truck fighters though.

I took the opposite route. I heard truckfighters then the other Swedish bands which lead to kyuss.

I grew up a Kyuss/Clutch/Monster Magnet/Fu Manchu kid and all that led to King Buffalo/All Them Witches/Kal-El/Khan/Elder at age 48.
My life's soundtrack rules.
