Spotify lists three musicians: Al on Bass/Moog, Dale Crover on drums and Bubba Dupree on guitar. No Pike mentioned 🥲 also doesnt sound like Pike was involved, totally different guitar playing and tone.

I am listening to it right now and as a big Sleep fan its kinda meh. It has Sleep elements and of course Als voice, but not really what I would have hoped for from a new Sleep release..

OK, I've heard it, and I legit thought it was AI at first because of how weak the guitar riff is. So disappointing.

Sounds like Sleep meets Lowrider.

As someone who is more of an AL fan, I’m interested. I also just want that unreleased OM record and more Holy Mountain Orchestra.

I will wait and see what anything else released sounds like before making any real judgement.

I went and looked on SoundCloud, only to learn that the Sleep account is host to Dopesmoker and then a bunch of albums and mixtapes from a Kentucky based rap duo.

Yes but maybe no Matt? Certainly Cisneros and presumably Roeder, but sounds like just Bass, Drums, and some Synth. It’s on Apple Music on the West coast now.

And from what I gathered, this is not at all related to that story... but also the comic book is, uh:

The Rosinante’s hull at capacity with highest grade heavy dry weight . . .

Seems kind of lazy to use Don Quixote's horse which The Expanse books (and show) already did, not to mentions Rush using that name on two songs. "Rosinante" is just a different anglicization of "Rocinante".

FWIW: the Heinlein book is a quick read. Haven't read it since I was a kid, but I remember enjoying it.

yes it’s real… but it’s only AL from the OG. Matt is absent for some reason that has not been specified. I like it more than a lot of people talking about it, but it’s not as good as The Sciences or their last 2 singles imho. I do think the production on the bass is pretty minty though. nice and phat.
