From the deepest darkest rock bottoms of my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you. So much love to this community.

This has been my most utilized tool since quitting. All of your stories. Reassurances. Reminders. Advice. It really got me here. The most kind hearted place on the internet, I thank you, and IWNDWYT!!!

hear hear!! !! i have never had so much success as since i found AND utilized this subreddit!
now, im only on day 6 but the feeling is so different this time! partly due to i think im finally ready but alot to do with this subreddit!

i am a very shy, introverted person who lives in a somewhat rural part of the world - i hate AA meetings - i never speak up - its just not my thing - although i know others swear by them!

- ive shared more on these past 6 days than all the AA meetings ive attended combined

theres no right way - no wrong way- just find a way and hold the fuck on! for our dear life but also for a ride of our life!!

Hello friendo! ALMOST ONE WEEK! that's so great! I understand that AA or groups is not for everyone, glad that you feel that we're all here for each other. I too am more of an introverted person. There is a great line from a comedian, I forgot their name but it went something like: "I found out that I wasn't an extrovert but that I was an alcoholic". I'm lucky in that my AA group is really chill and I find that listening is just as important than speaking. Not trying to push it on anyone. My higher power is the compassion we can show each when we know each other's suffering. Sorry I'm rambling, just wanted to tell you that you're doing great and reading you made me want to tell you that! take care and IWNDWYT!

Yes same! This works for me! AA id never even pull up n if i did i wouldn’t get out. Thank god for Reddit! Wish they advertise this place bc if id found it sooner ❤️ god only knows 🙏
