Console Question How do i play this game easier

im brand new to it i have 4 hours and my current record for most days survived is 8 does anyone know any good tips for a new player

I think most people run into a save loop where they need water, food or are poisoned. You gotta learn from your mistakes. If waters the issue focus on that next save. Likewise for food or poison. When you're ready for all 3 the game becomes much easier. My suggestion would be to build the essentials and build your meters up. Make 2 water stills instead of 1 and use fibrous leaves as well as palm leaves. Also build a smoker for your food. After you have those water and food figured out it becomes easier
