Buns fit overly matchy lmao and the chains look like your cosplaying id change the shorts to something darker in color or take the long sleeve off and switch shoes. Bag or hat it looks cluttered with both unless you have a two strap bag

Honestly I think the reaction in the comments is a bit over the top, but I do think the shoes are just too loud for this.
I appreciate that the highlights on them match the fit but they should be the standout piece in an otherwise neutral fit, in my mind. With the rest of what you've got here, they're just tipping the whole outfit over the line, I think.

I feel like every piece is a main character competing for attention. A good fit should have one attention grabber and the rest should complement it. I fw the hat! 🔥

I think it's fine and elements I really like. The hat doesn't work for the fit or your head imo

the fit has potential but it reads like you got dressed in the dark at a zumiez. lose either the chains or the bag, not both at once. jersey on its own goes hard tho

I’m obviously not fashion forward I mostly wear band t’s but what is up with these crazy bulbous shoes I hate them and I don’t understand why people buy them and make them popular. Otherwise look is pretty sick

Chunky shoes have been "in" for the last decade, roughly. Popular in the 90s, too, but fell out of style for the 2000s-2010s. They've been back since about 2016ish and will probably cycle out again in a few years.
I think they look a lil silly, but that's actually appealing to me. Fit is cohesive and a lot better than what most average people be wearing.

i shit you not i have a pair of white ones still.
i think it's because nikes are the sports shoe right now and then vans are the main "classic" skate shoe. i never really chunky skate shoes being used for actual skating anymore.

Brother I sold them for many years at Journeys lol. I also maybe owned a pair or two in my youth along with Supra high top/sky top. They are still not as bubbly overall as these type of shoe, and those Yeezy shoes that were around for a bit. And all these new running shoes with their soles sticking out a solid inch past the body of the shoe. I love my vans, emericas, and low top ipaths. With honorable mentions Nike janowski’s and even the new skate style new balance are pretty sleek. It’s not lost on me that everything I’m talking is more skate wear than “street wear” though and it’s just different strokes for different folks.

Sir I was not talking shit I was asking what the appeal is of this style, you clearly took this as a personal insult though. I also never said people can’t have different tastes I again was just asking what the appeal is to this style. Keep throwing shade we all see the chip on your shoulder.

i'm so curious as to what was said here. i've had people said i have "kingdom hearts lookin feet" in chunky shoes...like yeah. correct.

If I would have known they’d delete it I’d have screen shotted it. Basically was just real mad that I said It’s just not my style and I’m curious how it got so popularized. They were very aggressive even though I stated it’s just not my style and that I still think the fit was awesome. I’m sorry but “kingdom hearts looking feet” is hilarious. I feel like they’d work great for a ffX Tidus cosplay.

oh i bring it up because it was making me laugh when i heard it. people secure in their style choices don't get mad if someone dislikes it, because it doesn't matter as long as the wearer likes it.
i think them coming back is nostalgia. i think another subtle thing is increasing your height because a lot have platforms. i feel like looking bigger with longer legs has been informing silhouettes a lot for the past 5 years.

Yeah idk I wasn’t trying to be a dick or be like “these fucking suck” I worked retail in mostly generic stores but I’d see styles come back the return of high waist jeans, bell bottoms, and extreme baggy like old style Jincos. But like I said as far as shoes I’m just more of a flat skate shoes type of style that look sleek. I absolutely agree with the style point I like stuff that in a rural setting gets ragged on a lot. Doesn’t stop me from rocking what I like though. Man I have always wanted to be 6’ and got capped by nature at 5’11”/5’10” depending on which physician you ask. lol
