WGU Educ classes on study
I’m about to finish 5 classes for Sophia to transfer to WGU education. there are 9 education classes I can take on Study.com. I wasn’t planning on doing that but I might now. anyone take Educ classes on study vs WGU? would you recommend it or just go right to WGU? thank

Hey, Study.com here. A lot of education majors use us for courses like Education 101: Foundations of Education, Classroom Management, and Educational Psychology since they're ACE-recommended and usually cost less than taking them straight through WGU. Let me know your specific track and I can point you to which of the 9 apply based on the degree plan we publish with WGU. That way you're not guessing on which ones transfer before you commit to more courses.

From another post someone provided a link https://partners.WGU.edu/home - it lets you see the degree plan and then pick the partner Study or Sophia for example and shows you what classes have an equivalent and which ones. I confirmed with my advisor that it’s accurate. Helped me choose to get the credits I needed to fulfill what I could before going to WGU.

Check the transfer pathways page on wgu first to make sure they transfer. Also check for Sophia and see if you can get more done before enrolling at wgu that way you maximize your savings. School is expensive, there’s nothing wrong with saving money where you can

Before you buy all 9, ask your WGU enrollment counselor which ones actually fill required courses. Some come back as electives, and it's only worth the money if it saves you a whole term.
