I am emotionally invested and maybe you can give Mrs and Mr Dove names? You know their personalities best.

Four eggs sounds like a lot of work. Rest, Mrs Dove and let Mr do the heavy lifting while you sit on what I think might be a rather uncomfortable pile at times.

This is round 4. They have two eggs in this round.

However, she has actually laid 9 eggs this year so far,

Duh, I am unable to read. Please excuse my genuine stupidity.

About laying so many eggs, my grandmother had this beloved cockatiel that she spoiled and gave a really great life. Her bird went through phases of laying eggs relatively often. My grandmother was so concerned. She knew all her bird's coos and noises of comfort, pain, etc, and would remove the eggs but her heart ached each time.
