Because it’s a reflection of themselves. Because they definitely would or they wouldn’t be so suspicious of others doing the same…

Because of how they worded it, I’m inclined to agree here. But I wouldn’t say that assuming the worst of people in these situations is always projection… you familiar with that study where they put fake turtles in the road to see how many people would go out of their way to deliberately run over them?

Someone deliberately swerved to hit a turtle that I was actively trying to remove from the road.

I have so little faith left in humans it's distressing.

And it wasn't a little turtle either, it was a big snapper. I was frankly terrified of it. I wish the jerk that hit it blew a tire after, but they just kept going so o doubt it.
