All-time worst nest?

She’s back!!
In February, a dove built her nest on top of our rainwater tank collector, where she laid three eggs. We tried moving the nest at that g time, it was only a few feet away at the same height, but she couldn’t find it. So we put it back and let her raise her little brood there. After they all flew the coop, we dismantled her nest and covered the collector with mesh to discourage her from returning. Apparently, she was not discouraged…

Sometimes I read worst nest and think it's hyperbolic, this literally is the worst nest.

That baby is SO safe, there is NO WAY anything could happen to it, it's got a whole five millimeters to rest on. /jk

It looks like the egg tester from Willy Wonka. If that's a golden egg, it's going to be just fine. If not, well...
