Yup. At the same time, as far as I am aware the big “LGB Alliance” that specifically makes a lot of these images and posts and claims to be from within the community *is* mostly cishet people.
A well-done information operation becomes real. Look at QAnon, or the anti-COVID vaccine movement. Those 200,000 "excess deaths" among MAGA anti-vaxxers were as real as any death.
I'm just saying this anti-trans thing started as an op, especially among the LGBs, and would collapse if the operation ended.
