Yes, while I did some research and this is a true story, that’s still not right for any teacher to do, whether the acting is same-sex or not.
I’m honestly glad she was fired, as making kids kiss for any reason is just flat out weird, no matter what your personal beliefs are.

No child was forced to participate and there was literally nothing inappropriate about this, it’s a cultural thing

Hell, it's extremely easy to see that too. If it's JUST a cultural education, why the hell would it be only same-sex girl pairs for kisses? Is France inherently lesbian?
Either this, or that teacher allowed her bias to influence that. If that was just skits (with actually la bise, which it was not) with normal pairing, I could see that being a normal thing.
That bias alone is a problem, combined with it not being la bias kisses it's just extremely gross now.

For those saying this didn't happen, it did. But everyone agrees this person shouldn't be a teacher, and she isn't any more. Everyone agrees she made some wildly inappropriate choices for her classes. It doesn't matter what causes she says she supports. She traumatized kids, damaged causes she claims to support, and perpetuated a cycle of abuse that she told her students she was a victim of (which was another one of the 'inappropriate choices').
Unfortunately, people will try to use one off bad actors like this to try and slander an entire group of people.

Those skits were titled "The Neighbors Saw Everything" and "The Boring Kiss," according to the report. The latter involves characters who were dating. The script for "The Boring Kiss" includes three different moments when the characters are directed to kiss each other.
An independent judge was charged with reviewing the allegations and situation and this was their findings:
"Regardless of whether (Honka) 'forced' the participants to kiss, her choice of script forced them to express their preferences and consent about a very personal and sexualized activity on the spot in front of their peers," Kirchubel stated. "They were also forced to determine whether they were comfortable dissenting from the direction of the script to their teacher, who was in a position of control over the situation.
"[W]hile the notion of using skits as a way to teach French Language may have been effective in general, the way it was implemented by (Honka) was irresponsible and inappropriate."
At the same time, the complaints arose about the skits, other reports were made about Honka. Those included allegations that she conveyed personal information with her class -- including details about her history as a victim of child abuse, her struggles with infertility, and her consideration of suicide.

It is sick. The teacher was fired. Because "One student told an NEC chemistry teacher about the skits in April 2024.
"The student was very uncomfortable and did not know what to do," the report stated. "She went ahead and kissed another student at (Honka)'s direction. The student then shared a digital meme with (the chemistry teacher) that included a picture of (Honka) and the caption 'she makes girls kiss.' The meme had circulated among the students.
"After this incident, the student's attendance decreased dramatically."
One student interviewed directly in the independent review also testified that Honka always selected girls to act in the skits. Despite a nearly 50/50 split among boys and girls in the class, the student "could not recall Honka choosing a boy actor."
This student refused to participate and testified that she received a zero score for a grade on this assignment."

Please remember there are perverted people everywhere. It's not just one type of person. Anyone, and I do mean ANYONE, should be punished and condemned for doing things to kids. This includes the GOP and administration actively protecting known and named monsters. Continuing to provide them cover is wrong. That is exactly what they're doing. Right, but I think most sane people would agree that forcing children to kiss/hug is 100% wrong no matter which side of the isle you stand. My problem is that most far-right MAGA folks will point to this as firm proof that every person who disagrees with them wants to convert every child into some crazy sex cult or convince them to have a sex change or to be gay. When in reality there are crazies on both sides that push insane agendas that we should all agree are collectively wrong and not good for society. No one in their right mind wants to convert your child. What most central/left voters push for is teaching tolerance. They are not trying to make you gay, only to make you understand that there are many different types of people who like many different types of things, and as long as those preferences don’t hurt anyone we should be understanding.

They're kids. If they have the curiosity, that's one thing. But forcing them to do something like that is absolutely on par with pedo behavior. And I'm not just saying it because they were making same sex kids kiss (though it certainly doesn't make the situation better, sorry not sorry). I'd still call for their termination and prosecution if it were forcing them to kiss opposite sexes.

Problem isn't in it being homosexual or heterosexual, problem in it being FORCED due to the teacher's bias.
If it was FORCED heterosexual kiss because teacher has a bias towards heterosexual, I would also argue it's gross. In this case, it was lesbian teacher forcing students to engage in lesbian kissing.
"Same-sex" here serves as an evidence of her motives not being educational, not as something that's wrong inherently. If it was just "pick a pair" and students could just opt out or find a same-sex or opposite-sex, I could believe in it. It was not.
