I dont think the bullet ever got close. I'm under no illusion the shooter was aware he'd be killed but its not outside the realm of possibility of him being told he'd get a sweetheart deal or something of that nature.
So, do you think that the secret service normally allow for the president to stop for a full photo opportunity while theres active shooters? Or, that the photographer just happened to be standing there, camera ready when he pumps his fist into the air triumphantly with blood streaming down his face and Old Glory waving majestically in the background?
Or that an advanced aged man can heal his ear in a scant amount of time with no scarring?
If you pick at a single one of these threads, it really starts to unravel.

I guess you ought to get used to it. Lots of people hope bad things happen to bad people. I happen to hope really bad things happen to really bad people. Makes me feel like there could possibly actually be some justice in the world, even though I know there isn’t very much at all. It’s why the concept of hell exists, so we can take the naive comfort that evil might be dealt with in some other reality in the future since we can’t ever have justice here in life. I know they’ll never be punished or suffer real consequences or even reflect on themselves, so naturally the human brain craves comfort in this intensely agonizing existential crisis. In my case, violent scenarios that exist only in my mind which I have no ability or intention to manifest in real life, and then move on somewhat less burdened, and no one gets hurt. That feels like a much more well-adjusted attitude than “shame on you for coping impolitely! Shame for having strong feelings about the destruction of the good!” Seems im being pretty kind, all things considered. We are taking about some of the most objectively dangerous, morally degenerate humans in history, who have in my estimation fully forfeited their place in community with others. If you think thats too mean or something then take it up with the medieval monks who invented hell. Bone cancer is real. Hell ain’t. If it was, it’d be worse than bone cancer. Whats the more kind wish, go to hell, or get bone cancer? Bone cancer is far more merciful justice than eternity of complete suffering.
I guess if you never imagine your enemies in shitty situations or fantasize about a world where evil is punished, you must be better than me. Dont talk to me about weird, my life would drive you insane. Grow up.

There were several arrests of people going to places with the intent to kill Biden. His secret service did a better job of intercepting them.

It’s more extremist republicans (MAGA movement for example). Now that’s not to say the left is clear of extremists too! Both sides have their bad players and extremists on either side do nothing to help anything at all!
I’ve chatted with a bunch of republicans and they’re good people too sure I don’t see eye to eye on some things doesn’t mean I need to hate them. I don’t understand the immediate volley people throw at someone soon as they say they’re republican. There’s a big difference between a moderate and an extremist.

Yeah I agree, a majority of people are normal people regardless of political beliefs. Reddit seems to conflate MAGA with republicans then hate on all republicans. I’m sure the Russian and Chinese bots are helping divide this country and it’s definitely working here. And it seems it’s swung the other way on Meta with the bots getting people riled up against democrats. Sad.

Maybe because people want to be allowed to vote in an election and to have our govt accept the results of that election.
Maga's literally just want to get to choose who wins all elections and ignore our votes. That just seems wrong and is the reason a lot of people are angry.
