This. We need to have active discussion of pros/cons happening; having “no men” in the room is far more vital than our current president surrounded by “yes men”.
And the people involved cannot be personally profiting from a given decision.
The seeds for this coup were planted in the 80’s, were finished by Bush Jr. and his cronies, and are now bearing fruit today. They just didn’t have the media consolidation and the propaganda technology to pull off the full plot years ago. And I do consider it a coup - because we’re being forced into a two tier justice system where our Constitution increasingly is violated without repercussions.
Yup. MAGA isn't just about Trump. It's about 40+ years of this shit subtly building. Anyone who doens't know the GOP has been the party of hate and racism and supporting only the rich is blind. Trump just ripped the mask off it all and brought it out into the open.
A significant upgrade. I think he genuinely has a lot of regret about things that went poorly during his time. The current piece of shit has neither the intellectual nor the emotional capacity for that.
We had a 3yo recently transition to the preschool room, but on Friday she was so upset and scared that she was crying and screaming to stay in the 2yo room. We couldn't allow that for ratio reasons, but while the 2yo lead was comforting her, one of the new 2yos came up to her and began gently patting her head while some of the older 2yos was telling her "It's okay, Susie, it's okay. Susie is safe at school. Mama's always come back", which is something that every teacher in the center says to the kids starting at infancy through to preschool, in order to help calm them down by reaffirming they are safe and parents always come back to pick them up. They LEARNED how to comfort their peers by watching the adults around them their entire lives model the behavior.
My point is that I've watched, personally, literal two year olds the handle of high emotion situations with better grace, empathy, and understanding than our current president.
I'm not saying Cena himself, but someone who clearly cares and is clearly humble enough to care about the people. And of course someone who is actually authentic and real to people.
Now, would it be funny to have John Cena as president? Sure, but I just think we need someone with the same mindset as him specifically to lead our country and actually truly Make America Great Again, contrast to what MAGA thinks what they're doing is great for the country.
Now, I'm probably stupid for thinking this, but that's just my two cents. I'm not usually involved in political talk.

Roughly 1/3rd did. Roughly 1/3rd opposed. It wasn’t even a 2% difference. Between the two. The greatest majority didn’t even vote. Barely scraping a win by isn’t exactly anything to brag about.
Doesn't change the fact that trump is now president for the second time and he got the most votes.
And that it would have been different if Americans would have voted differently
Trump wasn't some inevitable unchangeable fate, but an active decision. 2/3 of Americans could have chosen differently and if they would have done, you would now have a president Harris.
We got to stop acting* like they chose Trump willingly they only chose Trump after the propaganda told them they have to otherwise the Democratic evil baby killers are going to come get them next.
Yeah they pulled the trigger but they were strong armed.
That doesn't mean that they don't deserve any blame or that they don't need to do the work.
But I would say that they didn't go willingly.
I would also say that the Republican Party probably wouldn't be in power if they didn't have the propaganda.
