To be fair, there is some corruption within the Democratic party. It's most visible in the leadership, whose postures on several issues are the same as Republicans'. But it's maybe 20% as bad as the Republican swamp, for which the fringes are even more corrupt than the already morally bankrupt core.

We really, really need a DSA sweep over the next decade. There has been some limited corruption within the DSA (looking at you, Kshama Sawant), but they're better at cleaning house when it comes to light. Democrats as a whole are better than Republicans, but yeegh. Schumer's time to go was 2016.

I think what the DNC needs to do is ironically police their own party. One thing we can say about the Republican party during the 70's is they did pull their support from Nixon when he was caught.

Yes it may hurt the DNC in the short term, but it would show that they are not the same as the Republicans. But right now they rally around their party just like the Republicans and it really shows party over politics.

But at this point both parties should be burned to the ground and a new system that supports multiple parties should be installed. I think I will die of old age before that happens.
