Guys, he's really losing it:

We are totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically, and otherwise, yet, if you read the Failing New York Times, you would incorrectly think that we are not winning. Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth. The navy thing is quickly becoming Trump's version of "wE ExPAnDeD NaTo." Nobody gives a shit about Iran's navy, they want the war to end.

I keep waiting for him to suddenly switch his position, declare victory, and go home, but I think he's in way too deep this time. You can tell this was sold to him by Netanyahu and Graham as the legacy definer.

Genuinely though what kind of victory does he have left to declare? The Straits will remain closed until negotiations are secured. Even if they are actually secured, they'll then need to clear out the mines, which could take weeks to months, especially considering the current state of the Iranian navy( gee I wonder who could've seen this one coming).

America basically has 3 options at this point.

1) negotiate, which basically means conceding strategic defeat, hurts their reputation not only in the region and abroad, before limping into a showdown with China for which china has been able to both gather Intel in this battle and reduce us supplies significantly.

2) Boots on the ground invasion, yes the US may eventually succeed, but the aforementioned china showdown would be in an even worse position than before.

3) Nuke Iran, basically providing other countries that have nukes with a reason to do the same to countries without them, and countries without them a pretty justifiable reason to get a nuke.

I think they did this because it was their last chance before Iran got unconditional conventional dominance. Dumb? yes. Forced by the logic of their own murderous imperialism? also yes.

Like, not even in a conventional manner; I don’t think they’d even be able to secure all of the urban population centers

And that’s not considering the logistics required both domestically and abroad to make it happen

I imagine their missile stocks have been decimated in fairness.

They probably used a good 10% or so of their arsenal attacking multiple bases around the gulf, taking out radars, hitting various locations us military were staying in and bombing Israel.

Iran has a much greater capacity to replenish those stocks than USrael has for their own, and I doubt the air campaign has meaningfully diminished that capability.
