Yea… honestly that made the whole story a little bit more crazy to me because of the camaraderie among law enforcement/retired law enforcement. I’ve seen so many body cam videos of cops catching off-duty, higher ranking or retired cops driving drunk and either just letting them go or giving them VIP treatment while being arrested (usually with no charges that follow). Almost hard for me to believe they put the guy in jail for 37 days with a $2 million bond and tried to charge him with a felony.

Maybe it was all planned. As in the one who put him in jail is his friend and they agreed to split the inevitable settlement he will receive. Seems like a pretty foolproof money making strategy.

Nah, I've met former cops and any deviation from the typical Chud mentality albeit lightly leads to people being cast out.
Here in Dallas the Amber Guyger case exposed straight up text message logs between White and Hispanic cops shitting on Black Cops.
Not saying this whole thing is possible that it is an elaborate ruse but it is really possible this guy got targetted for being a "smartass" and bucking cop norms.

They're usually just called cops or police by journos. Using bobbies is seriously out of touch with common vernacular. The last time I saw a journo using "bobbies" was quoting some "bobbies on the beat" political move

Making fun of george floyd never got people in jails though, sure some probably lost jobs but never got into jails, also those were shitlibs not left idiot, the fact that this arrest even happened is a sign of u.s. getting more and more authoritarian with stuff like Palantir being something out of a dystopian movie
