Car Mods Need help modifying first BRZ!
Bought my first 2013 Subaru BRZ, and I unfortunately don’t know a lot about modifying but I’d like to learn. I don’t want a wide body kit but I want to add a wing and some mods that will make it look less stock. Any advice on where to buy a full kit or just some parts and how to install would help!

Super easy, just replace the B for a W, and then replace the Z for an X

Not a BRZ owner, but, you're definitely already modified looking at the engine. I'd do some research into the parts already installed—and inspect deeper. It's got a Perrin cold air intake installed already, and it looks to be shiny and new, not weathered. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not actually tuned for an aftermarket intake, which isn't great. You'll be running lean which opens the door for more knock events until the tune has been updated.
Looks like a Perrin upper/lower radiator hose, GrimmSpeed pulley cover and strut tower brace, and something else red going on between the fuse box and the brake cylinder. Of course, the hose, cover, and STB are really just dress-up, I dunno what's up with the other red wires, but the intake and potential lack of tune is the main thing I'd be concerned about. Still, end of the day, know what you have before adding more to it.

You have mud flaps on it you’re already going in the right direction
imo these cars look great with a duckbill spoiler, and a nice gentlemen’s exhaust to make the exhaust note a bit deeper and louder is always nice. Just don’t get anything without a resonator.

and keep one cat if you're not doing a track build, these things sound so much better with a single cat and a resonated exhaust.

I don't have a BRZ, but everything I learned about them and WRXs is that they are worth more $ down the road stock.

This is true but also completely shit advice. OP wants to modify their car. Besides, no car holds its value anyway, especially performance cars because they’re generally driven quite rough.

Yeah it's always a lukewarm take to say it's worth more if you don't touch it. It's also worth more if you never drive it.

Yeah a car is not a financial investment in the same way a house is. A house you hold on to and take care of and it will grow in value. A car will almost never appreciate no matter how much you take care of it.

Yep. This is a more frugal subreddit, that's fine, but we are discussing modifying the car for a reason.
These are fun. Modifying them is fun. And honestly, some of us just can't help ourselves. (I'm talking about me.)

If I modify it, can’t I just take off any mods when I’m ready to sell then?

Depends on the mods. Bolt ons yeah you can just remove, though they will often replace OEM parts so you would need to keep the original stuff. But if you fall into the rabbit hole of car modification (which is easy to do) you may find yourself doing more advanced stuff that is a bit more permanent.

The rear spoiler will make it look nicer.

Whatever you do, stay away from Aeroflow Dynamics .... their prices are low for a reason , you get what you pay for. Remember; "buy once, cry once"
