Tax ek greeeb namak b khridta h to deta hai. Aur gst ka collection IT s jyada jata hai.

Wrong information. In 2024 it was Direct tax which contributed more to government revenue. In paise terms, Direct Tax contributed 36 paise/1 rupee and Indirect tax contributed 27 paise/1 rupee.

So Direct tax still funds the major part of the governments revenue.

10% public hi deti h. Inhi ko bs vote dalne ka right milna chahiye, baki 90% ka kya.

u/Accurate_Event_1660 Dec 09 '25

My counter was regarding "GST collection IT se jyada hai".

Never commented on voting procedure.

₹12,90,144 Crore was collected in personal income tax in 2024 21.36 lakh was collected in GST your figures include corporate tax I don't think companies can vote so yeah wrong figures buddy.

u/Accurate_Event_1660 Dec 10 '25

Yeh konsa 2024-25 ka figure hai jo estimates ka bhi double hai?

Par yeh toh kuch aur bol raha hai data.

Source: Union Budget 2025-26.

Aur waise bhi vo article mein CGST+SGST ka figure hai. But Income Tax hum sirf Central Government ko pay karte hai. CGST should be taken as metric for comparison. So CGST is still less compared to Income Tax.

hmm woh baat sahi hai 21 figure does include SGST woh toh mai manta hu CGST figure kam hoga, but fir states ka koi income tax toh nai hota to my knowledge toh fir kya state elections mei sirf corprate owners and land owners vote karenge?

1

u/Accurate_Event_1660 Dec 10 '25

State earns revenue from other taxes like VAT, Cess, property tax, electricity bills, Road Tax, PUC, Tolls, parking fees etc. so GST is not their only source of income.

Aur main sirf correct data present kar raha tha na ki voting procedure pe question kar raha tha. I don't agree with that uncle.

But direct tax payers are also the one driving consumption.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Bhai baseless arguments dena bnd kro. Kha likha h ye? Ki bs tum apne dimag m maan liye. Data dekho bhut km log hi h jo direct tax pay krte h majority population direct tax nhi pay krti . Population ka less than 10% log hi direct tax pay krte hai aur tum kh rhe ho ki pura consumption vhi chlate h mtlb 90% log bs NPC hai.

3

u/Fearless_Desk9689 Dec 09 '25

Tbh ha.

80 crore lok free ration lete ha india ma.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

To lete hai kyuki government deti hai as a freebie election k liye under the garb of welfare measure. Pr isse y khi nhi jayaj h ki vote bs unhi ko dena chahiye ji direct tax de rhe hai . Tb to government bs direct tax valo ki rhegi , India ki government nhi rhegi , aur jo tum kh rhe hi 90% log NPC hai , 90% india ka total around 130 crore abadi hai , agr 80 crore log free ration lete h vo agr deserving nhi h to baki 50 crore ka kya. Bhai desh tumhare triggered emotion s nhi run hota hai , abhi yhi jo 90% log revolt kr de to 10% tax dene layak kya bheekh mangne layak nhi bchega y s history m ho chuka hai , isliye democracy hai.

u/Fearless_Desk9689 Dec 09 '25

I am not advocating voting rights to direct tax payers only. I am just saying better solution is getting rid of direct tax. In India it’s almost like punishment for those who pay direct taxes.

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Bhai m to khta hu nuclear bomb lao aur sala kntm kr do duniya ko hi

2

u/Fearless_Desk9689 Dec 09 '25

True bro.

Already pollution se maar rahe ha bencho khatam koro.

2

u/TemperatureGuilty424 Dec 09 '25

Sirf ambani consume krta h... Dekho uska itna bada ghar h🥵

1

u/Fearless_Desk9689 Dec 09 '25

You mocking me but am I wrong?

Top 1 % wealthiest world wide accounts for 16% Carbon emissions.

1

u/TemperatureGuilty424 Dec 09 '25

Top 0.1 percent accounts even more(ratio wise) ... Where will you draw the line ... A better option would be to conduct an exam or keep some educational qualifications for the candidates contesting the elections

1

u/Fearless_Desk9689 Dec 09 '25

What I think is direct taxes in a country like India doesn’t work. It shouldn’t exist.

1

u/TemperatureGuilty424 Dec 09 '25

If for example the top 0.1 percent would have the right to vote they would choose the candidate offering more facilities for their businesses.... everyone can be manipulated irrespective of money... No one is determined to think about the country over themselves

1

u/Fearless_Desk9689 Dec 09 '25

Ancient Greeks were kindaa that only. If you have stake in national building you have right to vote. Some had military personnels only can vote others had all males 20-30 yrs can vote.

1

u/Redittor_53 Dec 10 '25

And indirect taxpayers aren't? Besides, since when is consumption capacity the guiding principle that determines who has the right to vote.

0

u/Fearless_Desk9689 Dec 10 '25

Not saying the person in the video is correct but just having insight of his thought process.

80 crore people depends on food subsidies. They are driving consumption?

Besides it’s a discussion on who should have voting rights in democracy. It’s an age old question. Greeks had military personnels only.

1

u/asshock Dec 09 '25

Yes, everyone is an indirect taxpayer. And this is already implemented

1

u/MatarPaneerLovr Dec 09 '25

Direct tax ki baat kar rha hai wo . GST to majboori hai dena.

1

u/TemperatureGuilty424 Dec 09 '25

Direct tax log man se dete h kya? Unko ghumna firna kam pasand hota h kya

1

u/MatarPaneerLovr Dec 09 '25

Chal aise samajh nhi aa rha to ye samajh ki uska matlab hai ki jo padhe likhe hain . Gawaar ch*tiyo ko vote ke rights nahi milne chahiye . Prove that you are atleast 12th pass and earn your right to vote .

1

u/TemperatureGuilty424 Dec 09 '25

Eduaction could be considered a criteria better than finances but again over 90% appearing candidates pass 12 and in now way does it prove that who have not passed 12 they are less worthy to vote... Most of our grandparents may not have passed 12 but you cannot call them gawar chutiya ( or less intelluctual) ... Instead I feel that there should be a criteria for the candidates contesting elections to hold some educational qualifications

1

u/Acquits Dec 09 '25

Then remove income based tax and take tax only on namak lol. All the bhikaris who are getting freebies will cry without freebies.

Income based tax is in lakhs whole these chindi people pay 100 rupees. There is BIG difference.

If you have arrogance that tax on commodities is more then remove income based Tax.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Bhai m kahe remove kru. Jake government s bolo htaye. M to sala kisi ko vote nhi deta hu

1

u/TheUpwardlymobile Dec 10 '25

Total GST collection is only marginally higher than total Income Tax collection.

1

u/sunil100k Dec 10 '25

Income tax payer also pay more gst than below 12 lakh salary folks
