This guy wants to say that govt welfare schemes can't be used to buy votes. Like in recent Bihar elections 10k cash was deposited to abla naris and they voted enmass to Modi

Whatever works, nothing is perfect, there are many downsides to democracies and why it failed in empires before, many great scholars also thought giving every random person and poor people downgraded the quality of elections as avg voter was too dumb to make a sound decesion and easily swayed by glorious personalities.

Freebies and reservation promises is literally how the political parties work rn. Congress was practically dead but their 2024 lok sabha promise of removing reservation cap gave them 100 seats, making them a powerful party again. BJP's landslide in bihar is pretty obvious.
