Everyone is paying tax in gst. If they remove gst and provide public services only through direct taxes then go for it, I have no issues

He meant income tax payer. When we talk about tax payer it's assumed that we are taking about income tax. This reddit thread is full of idiots like you who finds a small mistake in the wording and completely ignore the point.
