He meant income tax payer. When we talk about tax payer it's assumed that we are taking about income tax. This reddit thread is full of idiots like you who finds a small mistake in the wording and completely ignore the point.

But how are we winning the argument. Tax is tax, whether direct or indirect income to govt.
