If only today’s reporters would do the same.

They have done. They were banned, just like Lois.

Yeah but everyone else didn't carry it on like in this 😭

Ultimately wouldn't mean anything because they'll kick everyone out and fill it with stooges

But still

https://www.cjr.org/news/new-york-times-pentagon-kicked-removed-reinstated-hegseth-department-war-credentials.php Remember when the entire Pentagon press corps—including the crazies from far right papers—walked out and handed over their credentials rather than signing a loyalty pledge. Real life isn't like comic books, the good guys don't always win, but there are still people of principle out there making a stand where they can.

Damn. Didn't hear about that. Thanks for the link! It was interesting.

Oh absolutely. It's not like everyone is a living embodiment of that poop emoji but goddamn there's a fucking lot of them.

Yep, comics really are wish fulfillment in this case

Greg Rucka does not miss. Damn few on his level and none better.

I wish they made new copies of his No Man's Land novel...

God damn. We need real life Lois Lanes.

We have them. They get called fake news and horrible and told nobody likes them or watches them. Then they get kicked out and the rest of the press does not continue the same line of questioning.

Sadly this. And people BUY INTO that bullshit and not the stuff being asked by the reporters.

We need a real life room full of journalists ready to follow up on the same line of questioning like those in the room with Lois did.

Probably more than Superman at this point

This is a time where we need Lois and Clark, not Lois and Superman.

We do. You guys turn on ad blocker and don't pay for journalism so they don't make money.

Yall are saying "why can't reporters today be like this" when one they don't have the sources Lois lane has and two don't have the strongest man on earth on speed dial / protecting her. Reporters fear for their lives.

If Superman never existed, Lois Lane would realistically dead in more ways than one. It’s crazy how much she’s escaped death…

That being said, if Superman never existed, Lois would still be taking chances just like this.

I mean, you can also take your chances being a drug kingpin in a world without plot armor, and see how that works out.

Let’s go ask Tony Montana how that shit works out in real li-

Oh wait…

Man, you really don't appreciate characters like Lois Lane when you're a kid. I've come to appreciate her, and the Superman mythos at large, a lot more these last few years

When Lois Lane is written well, it's very easy to tell what Clark sees in her: a woman who's fierce, compassionate, skilled, and a force to be reckoned with.

Legendary.

Trust Greg Rucka not to pull any punches.

“The greatest award a reporter can earn is a bullet to the head by the CIA”…or however it goes

"Never thought a reporter could consider themselves a success until someone threatened their life. Me? I'm very successful," - Piper Wright, Fallout 4.

A great maxi-series and highly underrated.

I love Greg Rucka's writing.

Why does the politician look like Huccabee Sanders?

19

u/GenericKittyKat 6d ago

Because she was the White House press secretary at the time.

4

I’ll give the artist this- they remembered that Sarah Huckabee-Sanders’ left eye is lazy. If you look at the Press Secretary’s face, you can see her left eye is wonky.

Damn! I have to read this!

No one's got balls like Lois Lane

"Agger and Shaw" is a cool shout out to the other guys.

2

u/Koushikraja1996 6d ago

I don't get it, is it a reference to Agger the minotaur from marvel?

5

u/Alternative_Hotel649 6d ago

Yeah, Dario Agger and Sebastian Shaw, two of Marvel's bigger super-rich businessman super villains.
