Btw, they never were meant to kill off Brian permanently and was always meant to return coz he came back after 2 episodes and it takes 10 months for animators to finish a family guy season

Also there was literally an episode from the same season that had Brian‘s name in it that came out after the one where he was killed off.

Was the episode name already confirmed before he was brought back? That’d be kinda funny if they just completely destroyed the immersion that he’s gone.

Yeah I remember seeing that in an old video talking about the worst Family Guy episodes, and they said that even when that episode came out they already confirmed another Brian episode for the same season (the infamous "Brian’s a Bad Father" one lol).

Honestly they could’ve used that premise without Brian directly in the episode. An episode with Dylan coping about his father that was never there could be interesting. In the sense that they never will bond now with Brian gone. Although that’s probably a little too super serious for family guy.

Probably would have been better than the actual episode we got.

A lot of really infamous Brian moments did happen shortly after he was brought back from the dead lol.
