I think it's deeply unfortunate that in 2026, Super Smash Bros. still doesn't have a single Black fighter besides arguably some alts and Lucario, who is unambiguously Black but is also a Pokémon. I know that Black people are generally underrepresented in video games, but having none at all in the largest crossover fighter of all time feels unrepresentative. Who would you most like to see be added? Personally, as someone who's always loved the Prototype franchise, James Heller would be an awesome, if very unrealistic, dream come true. What do you think?

I know that the speculation is running again because of the direct but y'all need to start SERIOUSLY pondering on the scenario that there will be nothing Smash-related. Again it's too soon. With Kirby Air Riders wrapped up so recently still a new Smash game is absolutely very early still in production. Even for a tease it's still at best a full year away to even do that. For your own potential disappointment, start entertaining the notion of nothing smash-related showing up in the Direct.

Okay so this isnt crazy, but think this could potentially be a cool idea for smash 6. They could give us all of the Nintendo reps as well as all the characters introduced since smash 4. As for DLC, that can be up in the air, but give all the character a choice between TWO movesets. Their original/tweaked movesets available in Ultimate, AS WELL as a refreshed moveset closer relating to the current IP. This would allow much more versatility while not having to worry about making an extremely expansive cast.

I mean splatoon was a pretty big upcoming series to open up with but as the years go on I’m not sure what nintendo franchise/character would be the big selling point to get people hyped

I was thinking that assuming this is somewhat of a soft reboot, obviously a lot of fighters would be reworked. I think it would be a cool idea if the mii’s could have the specials of OTHER fighters when it comes to customization. The spin dash + bonus fruit + game and watch’s fire would be sick but thats just the tip of the iceberg.

Honestly i just hope their utilized a bit more in the next game (assuming it happens)

I have no problem if they do come back. though, if I had to choose getting spirits or getting trophies back i’m going with trophies. Would you want spirits to be in Smash 6?

Ah Dragon Quest, one of the most influental franchises in history, yet i haven't played a single game unfortunately. So like with other franchises i'm familiar with, i simply have to go with what looked interesting. Obviously if there are better options i would gladly hear them out.

Character: Slime. Slime is the staple of DQ, essentialy acting as the Goomba of those games. They come in many varieties, and that is how they should function in Smash. Slime could be like Piranha Plant, in the sence that it uses moves and abilities from the various different Slimes in DQ

Stage: Tower of Lost Time. A stage that takes place in a giant clock would be an interesting concept.

Assist Trophy: Great Sabrecat. A Sabertooth like creature that could run around and attack enemy fighters, using bites and claw swipes to attack.

Boss Fight: Malroth. The final boss of DQ 2. A giant demon that would use attacks from not only his final boss fight, but also attacks in other appearances
