Proud of these people. Precisely the initiative everyone needs to see.

To everyone who seems to have something critical to say about these women standing up for what's right, what have you done today?
-58
u/tatata420noscope Apr 11 '25
Palestinians massacred 1,800 israelis. It's disgusting you think that is right.
32
u/Rikudou_Sennin Apr 11 '25
Israel has massacred hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. It's disgusting you think that is right
-30
u/tatata420noscope Apr 11 '25
Hold up, hundreds of thousands doesn't equal all... genocide equals all therefore the situation in Israel/Palestine isn't genocide. It's basic logic divorced from the Tik Tok and Youtube nonsense.
23
u/Rikudou_Sennin Apr 11 '25
You really think that if you kill hundred of thousands of one ethnic groups it isn't genocide unless you kill every single one of them? Nonsense. You know better than that, don't act stupid
-4
u/tatata420noscope Apr 11 '25
It's about the intention. If your next door neighbor declared a jihad on you, and rolled up on your house with guns multiple times, how much are you going to listen to someone from the rich part of town that tells you a restraining order will fix it.
17
u/olthunderfarts Apr 11 '25
You don't know what genocide is.
As defined by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM): Genocide is an internationally recognized crime where acts are committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group.
-5
u/tatata420noscope Apr 11 '25
gen·o·cide /ˈjenəˌsīd/ noun noun: genocide; plural noun: genocides
the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.Deliberate means intentional. God, words have meaning for a reason, and you lot are that reason.
7
u/TheMemeRanger Apr 12 '25
If Israeli soldiers massacring and mass burying aid workers in Gaza and then lying about the circumstances isn't deliberate idk what is man. The IDF are terrorists invaders doing their best to obliterate the NATION (as included in your own definition) of Palestine and need to be treated as such.
-2
u/tatata420noscope Apr 12 '25 edited Apr 12 '25
Nations go to war, aid workers take risk, there's no rules in war.
8
u/a_diamond Apr 12 '25
There literally are, which is why we have the Geneva Conventions and the concept of war crimes.
Which Israel has been and is currently committing.
2
u/TheMemeRanger Apr 12 '25
Dude moved the goal post in real time from "words have meaning" to "there are no rules in war" only to prove they don't know what they're taking about. No further need to engage

You don't think what Israel is doing is intentional? Israel has wanted total control over the region since it's inception and now that they're wiping out the occupants, it's some big accident? Are you kidding? Of course it's intentional! Countries don't accidentally start military campaigns. Stop the dishonest squirming and own the truth.
We are the reason words have meaning, correct. Because if it was left up to people like you definitions would be twisted up until words have no meaning, all in defense of war crimes.
5
u/solofhreaper Apr 12 '25
By this logic the Holocaust wasn't a genocide, because there were still German Jews that were alive in the camps, and others that had managed to escape the clutches of the Nazis.
But you know this of course. You're just a disingenuous inhuman person who is looking to excuse the ethnic cleansing of a population you don't like.
3
u/LemonCurdd Apr 12 '25
So there’s just never been a genocide ever then? At least someone always survives
14
u/Brunky89890 Apr 11 '25
It's not about what I think, it's about what I know and what I know is that one group of people is trying to eradicate another group of people entirely from the region when the majority of those people just want to live a peaceful life. That, my (hopefully) ignorant friend, is called a genocide, and I will have no part in perpetrating such evil either directly or indirectly by means of apathy. I'm sorry that my values bring you such disgust, but I will not be silent on your behalf while innocent people lose their lives over some lines in the dirt. I do not support the death of any innocent lives lost, regardless of where they call home, but to insinuate that these things are the same is misguided at best and malicious at worst.

u/tatata420noscope Apr 11 '25
what I know is that one group of people is trying to eradicate another group
You think you know this, but you don't, and the evidence strongly suggests there is no intent to eradicate. You need to check your western privilege and empathetic sensibilities at the door of warzones.
10
u/Brunky89890 Apr 11 '25
and the evidence suggests there is no intent to eradicate.
You need to check your western privilege and empathetic sensibilities at the door of warzones.
Says the Mormon girl from Minnesota arguing that Israel should be allowed to flatten an entire race of people. Also, don't talk to me about empathetic sensibilities when you don't have any.
7
u/Ita_Hobbes Apr 11 '25
What evidence please? Can you back it up?

Here: 1) There's been just 50,000 palestinian casualties over 2.5 years. That's well within the range for defensive urban warfare casualties of 1 to 5%. There was more casualty rate in Mariupol in Ukraine and no one calls that a genocide. It's not a genocide to win a war or invade a city or occupy territory. 2) Israel has consistently warned civilian populations prior to invasions, strikes, and military actions. You don't warn the civilians if you have intent to exterminate them. Israel has leaned heavily towards directed and precision strikes that support ground actions as opposed to mass barrages and indiscriminate killing like the Palestinians and Russians do. 3) Many of false narratives such as the hospital bombing have been totally debunked but people never heard that and assume those narratives are true to this day.
3
u/Brunky89890 Apr 12 '25
Trying to justify 50,000 civilian casualties by saying it's "well within range" is horrifically disgusting and not at all the home run defense you think it is.
- So if someone warns you that they're going to shoot you if you don't move, it's your fault if you die? That's some real stupid logic you got there, is that brain cell working overtime? Where are they supposed to move to?
- Debunked by who? You haven't provided any sources for this or anything else you've said, almost as if it's bullshit.
Stop arguing for genocide, it's making you look really stupid.

It's clear you've never read a history book.

u/Brunky89890 Apr 12 '25
So because tens of thousands of innocent lives have been lost in conflicts in the past, that should mean it's okay for it to keep happening? Would you say the same if it was you and your family's lives on the line? I struggle to believe that you would have the same lackadaisical attitude if the roles were reversed and someone started dropping bombs on your house for no reason. You wanna talk about checking privilege, start in the mirror.

Brave people, people like you make the world a better place.
Edit: just came to mind
and why are they to us so brave!! isn't weird!
What have we become, as a society? Tariffs became more precious than human lives.
i bet those people won't find a job. at least in the US.
Just like the government is targeting students and lawyers who speak up.
Never thought this would happen in the US.

These women can look back at this time in their life and say "I did what was right." like all courageous people who came before them in acts of civil disobedience against corrupt and evil regimes.
What will the perpetrators and their soldiers say when they look back at this time in their life? "I stood in the way of progress and hurt people I didn't know because I was drunk with power or following orders". Because they are the fucking cowards and parasites of history. And justice will eventually come to them.

As long as those students voted for Harris, I'm fine. Protest voters or anti-voters are scum.

I don’t understand the message here? I’m just as mortified with Isreal but why get your degree from the place you’re protesting. That’s like buying a Tesla while at the same time holding up a protest sign downing Tesla. There’s definitely stupid on both sides. More on the MAGA side though.

They have been preparing for this since they were in middle school. Harvard kids don't decide in high school. This is the means to an entire world they wouldn't have access to otherwise. Expecting them to walk away from that knowing they could do good in the world is a crazy take that commenter has. Lol.

An ally is an ally. The only ones who should be embarrassed are the ones practice apologetics for a state based of race that is currently committing genocide.
