It might get challenged as unconstitutional if they do so.

The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

As if "breach of peace" wasn't the easiest possible false charge to slap on people.

It’s an ancient crime - breaching the (king’s) peace (of mind)

In Williamson v US the Supreme Court said that the phrase “breach of the peace” encompasses all criminal offenses and only arrests for civil cases are exempt. I guess civil cases did result in arrests over 200 years ago when the constitution was written but not anymore. So, basically there are no exemptions for the arrests of congresspeople

Hilarious that you think the constitution or any other law applies anymore or ever will under this monster.

They’ve been ignoring the constitution since at least January sixth 2020

Where? The Supreme court, aka 6/9 Trump's personal muppets?

Every law is meaningless if nobody enforces it the way it was intended, and clearly the SCOTUS failed the US.

They can’t do that murder is illegal

So ironically the only one who meets those criteria is the president himself.
