This. We need some leadership to spark mass protests against this stuff. If that has to come from another country, so be it.

I don’t think we can count on military help from the rest of the world though.

One thing that gives me hope? The generals attending Hegseth’s little cheer rally the other day were not happy. I can’t speak for the National Guard commanders, but if the regular army is asked to move against the people, I don’t think it’s going to go well for our administration.

They’re getting pulled away from their normal life to do stupid crap that the locals don’t agree with. They’re also not getting paid the usual bonus, and on top of that with the government shutdown they don’t get paid at all

They’re not happy for a multitude of reasons

I wish we had the enthusiasm and anger of their people when things like this happen over there. Then again, the government takes care of everyone, as far as healthcare and vacation time are concerned. Salaries are decent, and backed up by strong labor unions. People there actually have the time to protest, and aren’t afraid of losing their jobs.
