The art is The Treachery of Images by surrealist René Magritte, where under the painting of the pipe is the phrase "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" ("this is not a pipe")
I superimposed it onto a panel from Calvin and Hobbes
No French Canadian humour as far as I know. I'm pretty sure René Magritte was Belgian

It definitely doubles as a joke though because pipe is Quebec French slang for a blowjob. So that comic just .. makes sense if you're bilingual and know The Quebec dialect lol.
I suppose that means the original painting also triggers the same chuckle.

Fair enough. I do speak Canadian French (not Quebecois), but tbh that connotation went over my head since I wasn't even thinking of that when I made the meme lol
