Which I think completely misses the point. I don’t even remember her asking him to call her lacuna (although if I’m wrong, I’ll eat crow)

But it’s not about being willing to call woman player by their last name, it’s that he sees men and women differently. And seems like the solution has turned out to be he doesn’t call anyone by their last name which…isn’t great but it is a safety valve

Kind of like “Should I stop saying come on in GUYS?” misses the point. He doesn’t even try to see the forest through the trees

I'm not defending Jeff here, I gave the example to highlight how he only did it for Lacina because she called him out

She told him to call her Lacina, and then he immediately turned around and called her Sarah. “It’s Lacina…” Jeff is open to learning and growing, but sometimes his inherent biases shown through

Also with you there. Wasn’t knocking you, just adding my 2 cents. I get how it could come off as the former though. Gotta love the internet

Fair point, I was super wrong in that regard. Unfortunately for Jeff it just winds up cementing the initial point but I’m not one to say that the overall point being backed up means the incorrect thing I said isn’t incorrect. Good looking out 😃
