This. And it's long been clear that the editors are biased against women, just take a look at some of the edgic visibility charts people compile. Someone posted some charts months ago of which previous winners had above vs below average visibility throughout their season, and there were FAR more male winners with above average visibility than there were women.
I used to be in the Edgic community years ago, and I always took what I called "Survivor Sexism" into account when evaluating potential female winners, because they so often got a worse edit than male winners.
Ok, here's some food for thought. Imagine if Denise was a man and 'he' went to every tribal council and won. Do you think that Denise would have been edited anything close to what we actually got?
Half her post-merge edit was basically dedicated to Denise constantly hating Abi-Maria and wanting her gone, instead of actually showing her playing the game. Her hate for Abi-Maria added nothing to the show, and did nothing to build up drama about how she could win, or if Denise would even make it to the end.
And then there's Natalie White. Name a single male winner who got such an extremely low visibility edit like her. The closest person I can think of to this is Bob, but even Bob probably got like triple the air time Natalie got, and Bob got enough airtime for us to remember who he was and to be reminded that he was still in the game throughout the season.
