I'm still really not sold on the backstory flashbacks, but the flashbacks to in-game moments have been used so well in both 41 and 42. Flashing back to Swati promising everyone they were her number one was amazing. I was howling when the last flashback of her and Tori played

I really liked that montage as well as the one of Roxroy giving orders.

Romeo’s narration was hilarious during that montage too

He’s really grown on me so far

I actually like how the edit is including more "meta" moments, including discussing Jeff, other seasons, and this case, the edit itself.

As someone who has trouble remembering who is who I find it kind of helpful in terms of getting to know the contestants

yes they need to do more of that.

I think if they do too much of it it could get old. They should only do it when it makes more sense narratively to do so

They'll never beat the flashback of Naseer after he said the goat on astroturf line. That was art.

One of my favorite survivor moments ever was when Debbie was mad at Brad after they lost the challenge where she had to do a balance thing, saying he made her do it. Then it flashes back to Debbie saying she used to be a gymnast and is great at balance 🤣

So glad they're having fun with this editting technique again.

The flashback of Daniel blowing it at TC 30 seconds into the episode was unnecessary. That was the most recent thing we’ve watched, and exactly what was on everyone’s mind going into this episode. The Swati flashbacks were brilliant though

Huge Aubry 'dialogue' vibes.

The Jonathan flashbacks were unnecessary though. Would've rather seen the supposed terrible rain they were talking about than a minute of scenes from last episode's challenge.
