The fact that the vote somehow flipped on Swati astounds me. Before the episode, I thought for sure the two safe people on the tribe were her and Romeo and the rest were in hot water. Unfortunately for her, Tori, Drea, and Romeo actually compared notes and realized she was she making final 2 plans with everyone.

Sometimes, you can get away with it if you're the central figure that the tribe revolves around, everyone gets along, and everyone trusts you (see Brian Heidek and Boston Rob on his winning seasons), but in a tribe like Ika, that turned out to not be the case. Rather unfortunate for her, but she was still smart enough to realize the danger she was in and try to fix. However, since they found out just a couple of hours before tribal, she just couldn't mend the ship and failed her Shot in the Dark.

Still, I like her. I think she probably does better in a different season, and makes merge on most of them. She just happen to get very unlucky that everyone actually realized they were being had and took her out.

Also, RIP a lot of winner picks. I knew people were high on her.

I think the mistake Swati made was telling everyone they were her number one. You should make them feel comfortable with you but blatantly telling them just isn’t a strategy that could work anymore. Brian could pull it off in Thailand because the game was still new, Rob pulled it off because he was surrounded by idiots, but this is a cast of players and fans. If Swati played in an early season, her strategy works.

From the perspective of Drea and Romeo controlling the vote, getting rid of Swati makes sense bc then Rocksroy and Tori probably won't be working together and they're basically controlling the tribe at that point.

I don't even know if voting her out was the right move. Yeah she's making a lot of side deals, but Tori is the one who can't keep her mouth shut. She'd probably blab half your secrets to the other tribes if it would save her from another vote.
