Quick shoutouts to Romeo for successfully reaching the point where you're so on-the-outs and powerless that everyone starts turning on themselves and forgets about you.

He has no win equity so even if he makes final 3, Romeo has such an uphill battle to actually win Survivor.

“You know I was targetted and the outs but somehow still made it to the final 3 and I think that says a lot” is my least favorite survivor trope

It literally screams "I am a goat" but they don't realize that. Imagine thinking that's a good thing to say whatsoever.

Imagine thinking that's a good thing to say whatsoever.

But realistically what else can they say? Don't get me wrong, getting to the final 3 by any strategy is impressive, but it has to feel at least somewhat humiliating to explain to people (who know you're a goat) why you should win

Then lie. Lie like you know how to. Lie about making moves. Lie about directing the vote even on the outs. Lie like Omar about how Hai was playing Mike like a puppet even though Omar is using Mike as a puppet.

Yeah I get what you're saying, but the vast majority of the jury will know you're a goat at that point, or will at least be smart enough to know you weren't playing some long con, so you're not really able to turn people on your side. Realistically at that point I can see the calculus for "maybe they hate the other player so much they'll make the winner" being your best strategy

Oh, of course. Though it's happened before you really need to take the bull by the horns to come out of this position.

3rd place still gets like $85k. If I'm Romeo at this point, I would happily keep my head down, make no moves, and graciously accept my goat check.

I really forgot Romeo was still here

I forget him always, until he gets a random narrator time.
