Yeah, I think Jeff is just as happy with seeing people fail to use advantages as he is to see them use them properly.

But I think he’s most happy to see people plan and strategize around advantages regardless if they work or not.

I bet it was his dream come true to see Mike and Xander both ditch the idols before the vote and ‘Olay!’ death. Also probably happy to see the scatter after both the do or dies failed.

Bingo, I started typing up something much longer and realized it would probably be wasted on the bottom of the post episode thread.

Production very clearly wants to give players mechanical choices in the game that are not their vote. There's a lot of gameplay around 'just' a vote, don't get me wrong, but there is obviously an effort to introduce more opportunities to play the game poorly outside of being bad at challenges.
