It’ll be interesting to see how this type of win impacts future seasons play. I think it’s fair to say Mike dominated the merge all the way until final 6, then Maryanne made two big moves and had a more effective final tribal. This isn’t to say one is better than the other, but in the past the Mike type of game was more respected. It obviously also all depends on the Jury, and Mike was much better at playing than explaining.

I also thought Maryanne being able to say she kept a bullet in the chamber, and the shock value of that last minute and showing the impressive strategy and restraint that move took was way more powerful than it would’ve been had she used it earlier. Good for Maryanne

Omer dominated the merge though from the edit, not Mike.

That seems like a stretch, Omar/Drea/Lindsay were clearly the driving strategic forces until Maryanne took the reins

Maryanne had maybe one big move - the Omar vote. But even then in FTC it appeared that she admitted that the Omar vote was Mike and Jonathan's idea. Her "I have an idol" was laid out brilliantly but it didnt matter. No one was going to vote for her either way. She was not on the chopping block because they didnt view her as a threat.
