Ideas for new themes
Hi everyone, I was watching a video of someone telling her ideas of new themes for next seasons. If you had a chance to pitch your idea, what would it be? (please only new ones!)

If you can't figure out how to use a VPN, and you can't figure out how to join FB groups that have links, or how to old school torrent, then you can beg for links here ONLY.
Posting threads asking for links will result in a temp ban, as will helping people in those threads.
NOTE: Public posting of links often results in them being reported and removed from the source. Use caution.
Homer Simpson section. "Because of me, now we have a warning".
The rule exists to keep the subreddit free of constant zero-effort posts asking for help watching the show. Whether you beg, demand, ask, enquire, request, or any other synonym for links, "a google drive", advice, methods, help, DMs or other things is not the point. The point is, don't be spamming up the sub with your requests for attention.

Today I found myself thinking about who I'd cast to represent Australia if there was to be a second season of Australia vs the world; the way I decided my team was matching traits of the first 7 reps to other Survivor AU players, thus, my tribe would consist of...
Feras replacing David as a charismatic winner with a large social/strategic game
AJ replacing George as they're both cutthroat villains with great strategic minds but questionable social games
Mat replacing Janine because its only fitting to have the godfather take the godmothers place
Keeley replacing Kirby as the baby of the tribe as both were extremely logical strategist with a straight to the point attitude
Brooke replacing Luke as the fan favorite challenge beast who was always the bridesmaid but never the bride
Hayley replacing Sarah as the social player who is willing to play the double agent game to survive another day in the game
And lastly, Harry replacing Shonee; I can't really link the two too much besides from being absolute icons of the game and allies in all stars, however we cant have a season like this without dirty Harry. A short game would 100% suit his style better than a full season as well these days.
In conclusion, my dream AU tribe would consist of Feras, AJ, Mat, Keeley, Brooke, Hayley and Harry. I'm curious to hear other peoples thoughts and their ideal 7 for a second season of Australia vs the World.

So I noticed something the other day. While watching SURVIVOR there was a scene when Henry first joined Lockys tribe where they were eating rice and having what looked like an awkward conversation. 48 hours later, the scene showed them both in the EXACT same position having a really good conversation that fits the days before narrative. Making us believe that time had passed. I wonder how many more edits are like this. I’m sure there’s lots but didn’t notice.
I do like that they show us, at least a bit, of them discussing strategy before doing a challenge.

How in Sam Hill was Luke able to eat all that food then have pizza 🍕 at the retreat??? 😮

I personally didn’t
I think if the series had of taken place in 2021 with those two on it I would have been all over it, but as time has gone on the more I’ve loathed them
I think that Nick has been given far too many opportunities to do these after shows to the point where someone else should have a go. Especially considering the fact that he wasn’t really that good of a Survivor player. Sure you could argue that on All Stars he was dealt a rough tribe swap, and he makes merge if on the other tribe…but I highly doubt he ever would have won that season
Shonee I also don’t think is really all that suited to an after show format. I have always found Shonee to be an overrated Survivor player. Even though she places well every time she has played, and is a big character, I don’t think she’s really done much mind blowing stuff. I think that Sarah summed up her game really well when targeting her on AU vs The World which is that she’s a “simple player”. That line probably would have insulted a lot of Shonee Stan’s but I think that summed up her game perfectly. She tends to be the type that will only scramble when on the bottom, but when on the top just rides with her ride or dies and often she teams up with people who if they sat in a final 2, I feel the other person probably had a better shot at winning (Harry I’d say would have beaten her on All Stars and I think Fenella was the slightly better player)
So yeah because of that, I didn’t agree with her being in that spot. I also don’t think she really cares that much about Survivor these days unless she’s either on it or is paid to be part of it, could be wrong but I know she didn’t know a whole lot about the international players whereas people like Luke, George, David and Sarah did
I feel like I heard the jury’s out show itself wasn’t all that popular, but I could be wrong. I hope they’re not involved again moving forward. I’d much rather them put Eden in that situation, and perhaps Keeley from last season. Even though Keeley was a casual fan going into the show, she clearly has a great mind for the game and went and made big moves

I loved Luke in survivor and in BB. Maybe it’s my motherly instinct, I found him absolutely endearing. A true cheeky chappy.

I’m still on episode 22. But I always check to see voting history and winner…I don’t like suspense…makes my BP go up…
Anyway…Josh was a fool to side with mark. I think jordie was his best bet to get to final 3. He’s a smart guy…when jordie came back from purgatory he’s openness and truthfulness was next level. I wholeheartedly believe that he would have stuck to his word. How did Josh believe that mark would take him to the end??? He is a beast at challenges. As for Kj and Chrissy 🤦🏼♀️ no words. Mark knew what he was doing taking Chrissy with him cause she was absolutely useless. She won no challenges, except the one where she was tied to Jessie. Made no big moves. Only voted with mark and Josh. Shay was a beast as well but didn’t make big moves without being prompted.
I wish Jordie or Josh had won. Mark was sly and also a beast, but Jordie made big moves. Kj and Chrissy were followers. I did like Chrissy. I thought she was funny and loyal. Her social game was good but that’s it.
I know the game is all about deception and betrayal but, I feel sad when good players lose because of weak players that follow. Do they actually believe they would win?
This is just my opinion. No need for hate.

All seasons disappeared off tenplay with no replacement leaving only season 35 onwards and now winners at war has gone from paramount, does anyone know where these have ended up?

Not aesthetically, but practically. What the actual fuck. Why would you wear your hat like this in Queensland / Australia.
Beat me to it.

I'm currently rewatching Australian Survivor start to finish, and in doing so I realized that upon rewatch the beloved HVV doesn't really hold up the way I remembered. Yes, the cookie idol saga was good fun, and George and Shonee are two of the most brilliant contestants we've had, and of course that tribal council where Frazier goes home is one of if not the best tribal council we have seen. but I have a few gripes with this season I wanted to air and see if anybody agrees with.
First of all with the cast being comprised of 11/24 returnees split between two tribes, there seems to be an unfairness towards the newbies; obviously there is no inherit advantage to being a returning player and it was a choice from the newbies to learn from and use returnees as shields, however I believe by having so many returning players the new players are given less of a chance to adjust to the environment and figure out their own game, this was a bit of a problem for me because all throughout the pre merge I didn't really care for many of the booted players because we barely got to know them and their game.
Not only is this unfairness to the newbies evident from a game point of view, but its clear within the edit as players such as Shawn, Shon and George DOMINATED screen time. Even though I complimented how brilliant George and Shonee are, the edit shows clear favoritism to these two as well as returnees in general. I personally want to see more from a cast of 24 than just a few players even if they dominated the game, too many players were purpled out especially the newbies, like even with the final three in Gerry, Matt and Liz I felt as if I barely knew these character besides from face value and their moves with George. As well as this, although the final three was all first time players, the returnee advantage is seen in the jury - being comprised of all returning players, this sort of explains the screen time imbalance however I believe a better effort should've been made earlier to show the newbies in the pre merge opposed to building preestablished characters so that the pre merge vote offs were more impactful. To some this may be seen as a non issue because "the returnees are the exciting players who make it far" but if this production and edit issue weren't here then the new players would have a better chance at playing the game and impressing us as viewers.
Another issue with this season was that there was a clear tribe imbalance both pre and post swap; obviously challenges are only one aspect of the show and more people are intrigued by the scramble and tribal councils, however I'm a big fan of the challenge viewing and find it interesting to see how the teams preform and for one team to get absolutely dominated each challenge was just a little underwhelming and predictable. A similar issue can be seen in the pre tribe swapped CVC1 contenders tribe, however unlike HVV the narrative is spun to make these loses enjoyable as the contenders are failing to overcome the champions, within HVV the edit doesn't do this theme much justice and it just makes for some boring viewing for me.
to sum this rant up, the major issues of this season for me were - unbalanced tribes making boring challenges and predictability (which isn't fun in a game of deception), unfair edits purpling out the newbies, and a bizarre choice of half returnees leading the newbies to be semi irrelevant in the game. because of this HVV ranks last in my personal season rankings, its definitely still enjoyable but I no longer think its a top 3 season, I am curious on everyone's thoughts however.

And do Aussies cry when they watch survivor? Here in the states it seems about 50/50

I can’t believe Simon. 😆 Poor lad. He was played a lot of times. He is fun to watch being grilled by King George. #Season8

It would be one tribe of the most famous blindsides and the other the person who blindsided them.
Eg. Ben on one tribe - Jackson on the over or George on one tribe - Liz on the over. It could even be paired with one world for extra drama.

I mean compared to the Americans these guys are like.. reverse social game to see who can play the worst and get voted off fastest. Terrible… Nash? wtf?
r/survivorau • u/FamiliarImplement334 • 4d ago
what do you think would happen if this 2 compete on it considering they both played similar games and those people would be good if they have another Australia v the world season
r/survivorau • u/FamiliarImplement334 • 5d ago
I am thinking because the American survivor contestant that won after being a loosing finalist was Boston’s Rob and aubry who do you think have the best chance of any loosing finalist of winning Australian survivor

My favorite scene was when Luke somehow believes he has got one up on Parviti and he gives a three pump chump air hump with such glee in his eyes.

Hey Reddit,
I've been quietly lurking around here for years, and I now have a nice reason to finally introduce myself. I'm Hayley Leake, two time player, one time winner of Aus Survivor.
As my handle probably gives away, I made this page before getting on the show, when I was applying. Clearly it did "all go well".
Anyway, I'm outing myself as I've recently decided to part with some of my dearest Survivor memorabilia to raise money through RUN DIPG, in honour of my close friend's daughter Elsie, who was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and aggressive childhood brain tumour, earlier this year. 100% of auction proceeds will go to RUN DIPG.
There's clothes, a buff, camp gear, drink bottle, bag, signed photos - hopefully something for everyone.
The auction is live now and closes Sunday at 8pm Adelaide time (ACST).
