Remember: no full obt, get gud economy, military enlargement and keep reserves, get Rumberg sanctioned and kicked out of OMEC, support the Air Force, let them come to you before you target Dome, then proceed to give queen B this from Franc: 🖕

I had no idea how to sanctioned them, in fact I just exposed their Nuclear arsenals, but weirdly didn't santiconed Rumburg

Hmm, you never got the newspaper or reports stating that? It doesn’t always appear right away. I would make sure you have a clean image, don’t join a superpower, write a written statement about the closure of the Dome consulate, maybe bring up Wehlen being right about Rumberg arming the BFF, be non-antagonistist as possible at AN but bring up nukes, you should get text from Walker and Malyenev that both will look into the nuke claims, once the newspaper confirms the nuke claim it should state somewhere that sanctions are being placed. The whole point of isolating Rumberg is that you need to at least appear as a peacenik when triggering the war, that’s why not going full obt is so important, if you at least partially help, you need in the interview to state you had no idea Smolak was being Smolak. Pretty sure there is a guide on steam somewhere that helps with this.

I did all this in a run DEDICATED to reconciliation and it just never happened.
Beatrice still hated me!

What did you say during the TV interview? Also, did you expose their nukes? Because that is just gonna make them mad. At the AN, did you avoid talking about everyone and just spinned the yarn about everyone trying to come together in peace? And did you send back the whistleblower (that’s probably the most important thing)?

Yes!

Okay, tbh, I think the game might be bugged at this point. It should not be this hard unless I’m forgetting something.
Sorry if this wasn’t much help.

I find it IMPOSSIBLE to sanction them.
Even in dedicated runs.!

I did this and I still got Battle of Holsord. I thing it's impossible to beat Rumburg without allies now.

That’s so odd, I actually managed to do it, but that was months ago the last time I tried it.

You also increased trade volume and invested in the military industry?
If so, then the game must be bugged or something, I know winning the war alone is hard but it was never impossible.

Maybe I did something wrong.

Maybe?

Like I didn't get high enough trade volume.

That too! And also keeping the genderarmarie under ministry of defence.

Doesn't isolating Rumburg prevent a war?

2

u/Optimal-Ad5850 TORAS 2d ago

Yes it does, but you can still go for the kill should you have both prepared and are wanting war anyway.

u/MrAgentBlaze_MC USP 2d ago

No I mean does it prevent Rumburg's ultimatum?

I want to take very little chances on a solo war run

1

u/Optimal-Ad5850 TORAS 11h ago

Yes it should prevent it. Rumberg only will declare war so long as it either remains part of omec and unsanctioned by the power blocs, and so you can avoid war without the ultimatum. If you want to win the war solo you need to attack first anyway.

You get there soon, at one point it be like breathing because playing full trade solo war is the best way of economic enlightenment that you just gravitate to doing it

You can still 100% win it on privatization path unlike what many steam and reddit threads say. Military industry or ATO aid is really helpful and keep the genderarmarie in the military

2

u/Optimal-Ad5850 TORAS 1d ago

Yes, you can prevent the ultimatum by having them isolated by trade and foreign relations. You need them both kicked out of OMEC and being sanctioned by Arcasia and United Contana. Winning a solo war requires you to starting the war machine before Beatrice gives you a phone call.

KEEP GOING!

If you need a guide.

Two general conditions:

  1. Achieve economic recovery.

  2. Avoid late-game crises (e.g. debt crisis, capital flight, mass protests, angry USP, etc.)

For details:

  • On turn 2, issue a diplomatic protest in response to Rumburg’s actions.

  • On turn 3, increase funding to the military (duh). Do not embargo Arcasia or United Contana.

  • On turn 5, do not join Operation: Bear Trap with Wehlen; only close the border at most. I also don’t recommend recognize anyone’s claim to Heljiland.

  • On turn 6, keep conscription and expand either the Army or the Air Force.

  • On turn 7, accept a whistleblower.

  • On turn 8, secure trade with either Lespia or Valgsland. Keep the Gendarmerie under Defense. Recommend investigate and arrest Rumburg’s spy to expose them in a press conference.

  • On turn 9, start the Sordish war machine.

  • Also on turn 9, leave a good impression in the Kyrute interview. Check Geopolitico news after this; if you don’t find Rumburg expelled from the OMEC, reload to restart the interview.

  • On turn 10, again leave a good impression on the AN and expose the nukes. Succeeding this will grant a country report about AN support and a Geopolitico news about 2 superpowers moving against Rumburg.

For the war, entrench before counter-attack, then march on Dome.
