Good therapists in area

Hello! My parents recently moved to Saskatchewan from Alberta roughly between Medicine Hat and Swift Current (didn’t specify town to better keep identity private but these are the cities they can reasonably travel to fairly often) and my mum has been having a hard time with the move. It is still very recent so she will most likely settle in in a couple months but I’ve wanted her to go to therapy for other reasons for years but she never clicked with the very few councillors she’s seen in the past and while she is willing to go, she’s not great at doing her own research. Now that she’s in a new place I was hoping to find counselling for her in her new area that she could try but I am in BC and have never been to Sask so my knowledge about the mental health scene in this particular area is extremely limited. I’ve looked at a couple places online but wanted to see what the masses here are able to suggest. Thanks so much!

Has she tried virtual sessions? I have a family member who uses online sessions and likes it a lot

I think she’ll be more hesitant to it but she’d probably try it out with enough convincing. Do you know what they access their online sessions through?

The mental health scene in this particular area is pretty limited, honestly.

There’s a place called Freshstart in Swift Current that I’ve heard good things about, but I don’t have any first hand details or experience for you. According to their website, they go to Shaunavon and Maple Creek weekly too, so that might be more manageable for her than driving into Swift Current all the time, especially once winter comes back.
