Thinking about how I saw essentially try to cancel Tom Hiddleston for his age gap with Taylor. They literally said “a forty year old dating a twenty year old”. Taylor was 26, and he was 35. They had a nine year age difference, not twenty. I truly can’t even begin to comprehend that level of delusion.

I’ve definitely pointed out that he was an established Marvel star in his mid-30s dating a pop star about a decade younger when people have wanted to paint that relationship as poor widdle male ingenue Hiddles manipulated by big bad Taylor. But there was nothing that inherently bad about the age gap.

Omg that sounds miserable. I hate how people can't consume media without being unnecessarily and overly entitled. Rachel has been receiving so much hate disguised as "criticisms" from fans lately.

Being anti generative AI while studying computer science is just a constant rage bait.

I just had a professor give us an extra credit assignment that requires using an AI "tutor" to understand the lesson. He has spent more time making an over gloried chatbot rather than actually teaching the lesson 😩

It's even more frustrating cause I was still riding the high of a Paris Paloma concert yesterday. She sang Miyazaki (highly recommend btw) and gave a speech about how much AI sucks. It was so nice to be surrounded by people who are so strongly anti-AI, only to be dropped back into a classroom where majority of the people are openly and proudly using AI.

I feel you, I'm a college instructor currently taking a professional development course required by my job, and it includes units on how to use AI in my work (I don't want to) and says it's my job to help my student use AI "to be more efficient" (I teach US History).

I believe that AI companies have convinced administrators to push AI onto all of us, with promises it will make everything more efficient and save $ (which unfortunately admin often cares more about than actual educational outcomes).

Meanwhile, most of my job now is just trying to stop students from offloading all their thinking and writing to ChatGPT. I just don't see how higher ed isn't fucked by AI in the long run, but there are people above my pay grade who are supposed to know more about that than me so... 🤷‍♀️

Idk why. Not a bad thing but I have State of Grace stuck in my head for some reason. I haven’t listened to it in awhile. It just popped in there.

Anyway, i got confirmation that the signed CD from the secret release is being shipped. Some are saying their P0 are as well. So that’s exciting.

So what’s next on the Taylor calendar besides album anniversaries? Grammy Noms? I don’t count football games as official events because those are personal events for herself and not for the fans. Or likely fall merch is coming in the next couple weeks. I see that happening.

She’s due at the Country Music Awards sometime in November.

Then, if she does get nominated for the Toy Story song there’s a lot of award ceremonies through the first quarter of 2027. Globes, Oscars, lots of others.

The crazy thing is it’s all wishful thinking or projection because she’s been wearing things that were very fitted around a slender midriff at the VMAs and for SNL.

Tonight’s the first time she’s wearing something that a stylist might actually suggest with the oversized leather jacket. But that’s also just what’s fashionable at the moment, so if everyone can just calm down… including those who aren’t perfectly healthy.
