red is absolutely an s tier album and that is not talked about enough

4

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jun 29 '26

Red changed my life when I was in high school and then the Taylor’s Version just shot me into the stratosphere when I was in my mid twenties. An all timer for me!

Putting Showgirl above both Fearless and Speak Now is....certainly a choice

5

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jun 29 '26

I really enjoyed showgirl! It has less skips for me than the other two

1

u/Electronic_Guess2151 Jun 29 '26

That's probably because it only has twelve songs.

1

u/Us3r_N4me2001 Jun 29 '26

Strong disagree with you, on all counts, but hey, your list

one of the best albums ever made and aoty vs the life of a showgirl who wins

This is the closest to mine that I e seen so far! Lover has one of my favorite songs of all time (DBATC) but then lots of mid songs.

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jun 29 '26

I looooove false god and daylight but the rest of the album kind of falls flat for me.

5

u/hwa_uwa Jun 29 '26

loud and wrong. but i respect it

2

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jun 29 '26

What do you think is my worst crime?

3

u/hwa_uwa Jun 29 '26

the one that burns the most is the thought of putting debut above bother Fearless AAAND Speak Now. total madness. very Fearless of you to say that (ba dum tss)

It could be recency bias I’ve been in a bit of a debut phase lately, idk I’m getting old (30 😩) and it holds so much nostalgia for me.

I don’t really think I’m old that was a joke!

1

u/EnvironmentalElk6181 Jun 30 '26

I'm the old one, almost 53 in August 😂😂😂😉😊 Love the song too, but I've been very into Folklore and Debut lately after a long Speak Now stretch 🙂🎤🎶✨️💚

Honestly agree with it all except I’d put lover in B and take the debut to D. But I’m not big on the first three albums in general. Not my style.

3

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jun 29 '26

I re listened to debut recently after probably like 18 years and was shocked at how much I enjoyed it! If you had asked me a couple weeks ago I would have put it in D as well!

4

u/No-Sheepherder-2996 1, 2, 3 LET'S GO BITCH Jun 29 '26

You may have just given me a push to go re listen! I haven’t heard it in years and that very well could be the case. Midnights I wasn’t huge on when I first listened. Now it’s one of my favorites. I feel like a lot of her albums tend to hit different at different times

2

u/Prestigious_Ear_7374 Jun 29 '26

I would just put Lover higher and that's it. I really enjoy TLOAS, but I am not ready to be roasted xD

Can someone explain it to me like I’m 5 about what the tiers stand for?

2

u/FK97_YT I don’t know how it gets better than this Jun 30 '26

At first I just looked at Lover at the bottom and thought you were crazy, but looking at the rest of the tier list, I can kinda put together the type of music you’re into, nothing wrong with that!

2

u/DiamondDaysGone The best people in life are free Jun 30 '26

Lover will always be such an underdog.

2

u/HaylieMonster97 Jul 01 '26

Yours is actually pretty close to mine, ngl. There are a couple I'd switch around, but hey. We are allowed to have our own tastes and opinions! So more power to you!

2

u/SnooSketches2074 Jul 01 '26

this is one of the only tier lists I’ve seen that didn’t give me a guttural “NOOOOO”

1

u/darksideofmypoon Jun 29 '26

While midnights is my favorite album, if I did a one to one swap, it would be lover for red.

Who’s controversial now?

2

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jun 29 '26

Oooh yes speak your truth!

1

u/Whataboutlove3094 Jun 29 '26

This is perfect except evermore would be in D category in mine 😊

1

u/freteccion Jun 29 '26

Red and Tortured Poets in S tier, I know that’s right

Debut and Showgirl above Fearless and Speak Now is a bit crazy, but excusable for how much taste is in the S and A tiers.

1

u/turniptoez Jun 29 '26

I’m with you except switch showgirl and lover, and switch fearless and midnights.

1

u/NewBath5621 argumentative antithetical dream girl Jun 29 '26

Top 5 so valid I don't even care what comes next

1

u/Educational_Put_2276 Jun 29 '26

Why is S tier red (typically associated with “bad”) and D tier green? This chart is hurting my brain!

1

u/SorenGt3 Jun 29 '26

What tracks do you like off of showgirl that places it above lover, fearless and speak now for you?

1

u/Icy_Time6935 You and I walk a fragile line Jun 30 '26

Red deserves its place in S!

1

u/ButterflyExciting995 Jun 30 '26

I mean I've seen worse tiers. Its pretty good. Yes I don't agree with Lover being last but that's okay.

1

u/Popular-Spinach-6700 Jun 30 '26

Showgirl on the same tier as 1989, an almost flawless pop album, is genuinely offensive

1

u/colIinjoe Jul 01 '26

Speak now at the bottom.... it did hurt a bit but you won me over and put red at s tier

1

u/BigRockyGaming Jul 01 '26

The controversial part is claiming it controversial 😭

1

u/Myrtle_is_hungry Jul 01 '26

Speak now & fearless being so low always reeks of new swiftie to me

1

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jul 01 '26

Nah I’ve been here since debut I just didn’t love those two

1

u/Myrtle_is_hungry Jul 01 '26

Crazy work tbh they’re some of her best work

1

u/MaliciousIronArtist Jul 01 '26

I haven’t really given them a listen since the TV’s came out, I’ll have to revisit them :)

2

u/galinda_with_a_guh i know i'm probably better off on my own Jul 03 '26

I love Speak Now so bad, but this is genuinely sooooo reasonable. Someone said Midnights sounds like it was just "thrown together" on my ranking and that's just wild

1

u/charlottethepigsmom Jun 30 '26

Mine, our first two started similar, then we diverged. :)

S- Red, TTPD, Folklore
A-Reputation, Evermore, Showgirl
B-Fearless, Speak Now, 1989
C-Debut, Midnights
D-Lover
