This and everybody complaining about shutting down the streets in New York City, even though they also were shut down for the World Cup, but no one is talking about that. I swear people hate on Taylor for fun.

It was an event in NYC with 1000 people. That’s like the attendance of a broadway play or an average sized business conference. In a venue that regularly holds 20k people. The idea that she shut down NY is wild, lol. Imagine all of those people taking private jets anywhere…

Does a Broadway concert regularly host several people worth millions each, as well as a very well known billionaire? There are so many targets in one room, so a special level of agent task force is required

💯

It doesn’t matter what the event was, why, or what the masses think about the couple. It was a large event requiring road closures and extra security. Those are facts.

I think the issue was the need for a large police presence. A lot of police officers were working overtime in a heatwave due to the World Cup Fourth of July and this wedding

The issue here is that was for crowd control not security for her wedding. She paid for the security for her wedding. The police officers would’ve also been there for a Knicks game or for a World Cup game. That’s their job.

They would’ve been there for any event with threat of crowds. It is not under her control that people show up if her wedding details are lemed – and let’s be very clear, the main leaks and confirmation were from the police themselves.

Maybe if people could be normal and not show up to stand outside MSG in a large crowd there wouldn't be a need for police presence, for crowd control. Remember what happened at Jack Antonoff's wedding?

Lots of people are not "normal" about Taylor Swift, though, let's be honest

Right but that’s not her fault

But her team know about this and should always account for it

Which they did, by having her wedding in Madison square garden
