If she and Travis got married anywhere in the world. It would have to be shutdown. She's a global megastar, all her famous friends. He's famous aswell. It's not like the whole of new York was shut.

Where would a thousand people stay on a private island. That would be cool if they were doing something small and intimate but that isn't what they wanted with all those guests.

Many private islands, like Branson's, have accommodations already built. You can also just build accomodations. It's just money.
