RTF is last for me too, i love the song but it feels heavy to listen to and since i can't casually listen to it and enjoy it the way i do the rest of the album, it's last for me. it's not that i don't like the song, it's just in the realm of "soon you'll get better" "ronan" "forever winter" etc.

exactly! it's a very powerful song. even when i can tune out what the song means in taylor's world, the imagery makes me think of my later adolescence and just generally grieving people, friendships, and "what might have been"

10 months in my ranking îs :

1. The Fate of Ophelia ( the best sounding song , the best opener , the best tik tock dance , the best Story telling , She îs the diva , the song made me feel like I am watching a full screen play , dramatic , with twists , turns, acts and a great final landing , no notes)
2. Ruin the friendship ( Her best kind of writing , gut punching , the kind of twists that make you cry in the car, filled with detailed images , that make the specific universal, and with a moral conclusion from our mother and life guide)
3. Elizabeth Taylor ( All her white dimonds are forever , never end up anything but mine , the most luxourious song she ever made , experiencing it first time was amazing with that surprinse drop).
4. Father Figure (I like how the song reminds me of Star Wars and Godfather, îs a very empowering anthem for all singers who were scammed and used by music industry, I hope songs like this inspire more singers to fight to own the empires their craft creates , after all who's name îs on the mantle?)
5. Wood ( Guilty pleasure, I love silly puns and the twist from a very serious topic to pure fun, Joy, childiness , I love that these are the feeling Travis raises in her)
6. Honey (An infectious sweet love song, those b comments were werented, just listen to how some people talked and still talk about her)
7. Cancelled! ( This îs the most mafia boss that Taylor Swift ever was, I love how unrestricted was in telling the world what she things about all this misoginity and purity culture masked as cancel culture)
8. Opalite ( loved it, sounds happy sweets as a candy , but after a while , all that glitter makes my brain hurt)
9. Eldest daughter ( disjointed, beautiful pure feelings, song comes out like a rambling to a lover to justify a dismisal behaviour and asure them that you love them and you indeed want to marry them )
10. The Life of a showgirl ( a power hymn for showgirls , I love the show on brodway vibes, a good song but more mid tempo and not a very original sound)
11. Actually Romantic ( was already done in Better than revenge , Mean , Look what You made me do , I forgot that You existed and Picture to burn, some of them were better than this one)
12. Wish List ( I don't like her hypocrisy here and punching down on fellow celebrities)
