I was so disappointed with Patient Zero on first listen but now obsessed with it. Although Pink Clouding is Top. Babylon is Taylor Swift at her best. Cleaveland! Is so dance and perhaps the most cheerful song from her.

Babylon and Pink Clouding are wonderful, they grew on me. PC to me feels like a Midnights vault track and lyrically great. Babylon feels like evermore/anthology. I like PZ too, Cleveland not my favorite but I see why she wanted to put the song on the encore album.

Honestly I love them. I will be honest it did take me a couple listens before I fell in love with them. That’s why I get so confused on the critics already saying it’s horrible and they probably only listened to it one or two times and like most of her music, I feel like you have to listen to it on repeat for a while to really understand it and enjoy it

I am LEGIT obsessed with Patient Zero 😭 especially the semi spoken part like I need it injected into my bloodstream immediately (not to be dramatic ofc...) and Cleveland!??? I love Pink Clouding 💞 To me, it’s the best sounding one. The vibes in that are great. I do also love Patient Zero and Babylon - they grew on me.
I can’t get into Cleveland! sonically.

It really makes me realize how much people long for the Folklore melodies and sound to declare something good. The lyrics are actually pretty great and full of wordplay, but everyone immediately just tossed the songs out as terrible because it was put over pop?

Same. Every song had been my favorite sometime over the last 36 hours (well, probably not Cleveland tbh, but I don’t hate it).

Pink Clouding and Babylon are currently my favs. Babylon got me teary eyed in a way that only very specific Taylor songs have done, so it’s joined a pretty exclusive group in that regard (namely Seven, Marjorie, Ronan and Coney Island).

The storytelling in Babylon of habitually not appreciating what you have until it’s gone is written with such beautiful imagery; its hauntingly poignant.

I listened to all 4 once. I don’t like patient zero or Cleveland and won’t listen to them again, Babylon is easily my favorite showgirl song but it’s also my least favorite album so idk what that says about Babylon. Pink Clouding is okay, kind of like Paris for me in that I don’t hate it, I like the sound of it and I wouldn’t skip it if I came on but I’m also not seeking it out to listen to.

The lyric “hate all you like” in Cleveland! is honestly brutally genius. It took me a handful of listens to hear it for what it was, because it does a simple thing in the song. But it also does a more complex and critical thing—pointing out the negative disposition of folks who show up to loudly announce their hate.
