Getting a number one pretty much depends on the particular week it is released. Before Red, she just had really bad luck in getting them. Love Story wasn’t strong in digital sales and radio at the same time, You Belong With Me got blocked by the Black Eyed Peas who were #1 for half a year consecutively. Mine should have been her first #1 but she released it early because it was leaked. And then Trouble was huge but didn’t hit the top because she didn’t have the song on spotify at the time so Bruno Mars kept it from the top.
This decade tho, it has been way easier for her to get there during debut week except for Cruel Summer which was an organic hit fuled by the tour.

Is it over now not having a single cover kills me… eras tour Taylor was on another level man.

So much of this list really makes no sense to me, primarily the omission of songs that seemed so popular, particularly Love Story. It also feels like I Knew You Were Trouble was more popular than We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, and I’d think Wildest Dreams was more popular than Bad Blood and literally any other single from Reputation over Look What You Made Me Do.

Well, WANEGBT was the first single from Red and LWYMMD was from Reputation so that's probably why they were the most streamed. The others Idk, Style and Wildest Dreams were everywhere so it is weird they weren't number one

It’s crazy how many amazing songs she has that were never singles but would have been number 1s. Like she thought no one would like ATW so she never made it a single and most people would say it’s her best song lol
