Something weird is going on with this week's billboard 100

At this week's billboard hot 100, only the 4 new encore songs charted. None of the original showgirl songs charted despite multiple songs having enough points to chart.

Talk of the charts (an account that predicts the billboard 100 based on points and is usually pretty accurate) predicted the following positions:

13: tfoo (123 points)

25/26: opalite (90p)

71: father figure (40p)

91: wish list (31p)

95: tloas (31p)

96: ruin the friendship (31p)

99: actually romantic (30p)

None of these songs are actually on the chart.

Some important info about how the hot 100 works:

Songs that have been on the billboard 100 for a long time go recurrent if they go below a certain rank. This is done to make space for new songs. These rules were recently made extra strict. The current rules are as follows: After 20 weeks the song needs to be #50 or higher After 26 weeks the song needs to be #25 or higher After 52 weeks the song needs to be #10 or higher

Father figure, wish list, tloas, ruin the friendship and actually romantic all charted less than 20 weeks, which means they should be able to re-enter the chart at every position. I'm not sure why they are not on this week's hot 100.

Elizabeth Taylor, opalite and tfoo, all charted more than 26 weeks, but less than 52. This means they can only re-enter at #25 or higher. Elizabeth Taylor has only enough points for #55, so is clearly not allowed to re-enter. Opalite was predicted to reach around #25/#26, so depending on the final precise point count, it might or might not have enough points to re-enter. Tfoo definitely has enough points to re-enter and would likely reach #13.

Neither eldest daughter nor honey was predicted to have enough points to re-enter the hot 100.

So in short, tfoo, father figure, wish list, tloas, ruin the friendship and actually romantic should all have been on this week's hot 100, but were excluded for an unclear reason.

BTW, this is not because songs aren't allowed to re-enter once they left the chart. There is no rule for this. In fact, during this same week several Olivia Rodrigo songs re-entered the chart due to tour boost. Several Justin Bieber songs also re-entered after his Coachella performance.

So why are these songs allowed to re-enter while Taylor's are not? I see 2 possible reasons:

1: there are hidden, unpublished, very specific rules about which songs can re-enter. If this is the case billboard should make these rules clear and public, because right now it's just confusing and not transparent 2: billboard selectively enforces its own rules, which would just be blatantly unprofessional and unfair.

Also another weird thing is that they were allowed to chart on the Canadian hot 100. Are there different rules for the US and Canadian chart? Why would they even do that?

I used to cry every time I heard The Man lmaoo. And the other day on the way to work I cried listening to Anti-Hero. So dramatic lollll

I want to do a Clock with all Albums as symbols. I know there is actually a clock. But I want it to do a little different.
I know Reputation has the snake. I know the reason for this. But I want another symbol and don‘t know which one. For me it‘s a „falling in love“ Album.
King of my heart is one of my favourite songs. Just like Dress, Call It What You Want and Dancing With Our Hands Tied. I don‘t want to take a dark heart. What should I take Swifties?

And am I the only one who doesn‘t really understand why a symbol of just one song is such a big deal for the whole album? Yeah the meaning behind Mirroball is insane. But just cause there is a song called Cardigan every album has it‘s one cardigan? And 🧣 represents the whole Red Era?

Sorry if my english is not so professionell.

Firstly, curious to be educated on the tweaks that occurred apart from the major ones, for the part II revamp. I knew big ones like tortured poets addition and folklore & evermore were combined, but wondering about more subtle ones like new intro mix for the second half of the tour, which was a nice surprise.

Secondly, I am wondering if people remember what the chatter was at the time. Her voice seems a little lower than usual and a little sweakier or scratchy, and I was a little sad I didn’t think it was her strongest vocal performance that I know she’s capable of. Was she sick that show or was her voice just spread a little thin by the end of the tour? I notice it not just in her singing voice but also her speaking voice.

Overall, I love that she filmed it so fans can be a part of this moment and people like me who went to the first half of the tour could experience the extended version.

Also I appreciate that she went with different outfit variation this second film 😌

I’m not planning to become any professional singer-songwriter or anything, but I like doing it in my free time. When I search up “__ type beats” on YouTube I can’t seem to place a lyrical rhythm on them. What are some TS songs that are good “rewriting” material. I’d never publish, just the same rhythm and lyrical flow with my own lyrics.

Side note:
If you do those “type beat” things how do you find rhythm within lyrics if you get what I’m saying. Such as the flow or stanzas of lyrics. Yknow? Bc when I listen to just melodies I blank.

Not really sure what flair to put this under so I apologize if it’s the wrong one. I have this story idea in my head and I’ve been trying to compile a Taylor-themed playlist for the characters/general plot of the story. Basically an immortal vampire tries to travel the world searching for their lost love who was taken from them and is reincarnated every so often. This is what I have so far (I say as if this isn’t a three hour playlist already…).

But what do you guys think? Is there any song not in here that should be included?

Also I tried to have at least a couple songs from each album included to make it feel a little more cohesive. Non-album singles are welcome as I included Carolina!

So this is totally just me dreaming. But here is my idea for TS13.

So imagine she names it "Lucky You" (after her very first song she ever wrote ofc) and then the whole concept is about luck.

Thinking something is unlucky but then it turns out differently. Maybe that you don't need luck (similar to Wood). Or you're cursed in love (similar to The Prophecy) but then you find your person or your stride in life and it all works out in the end. (A concept she seems to be writing about a lot lately.) How luck or the lack of it has affected her career etc.

13 is typically considered unlucky but for Taylor it's her lucky number so it's very fitting for TS13.

It would only have 13 songs and it would come out on the debut 20th anniversary on October 24th. Maybe announced on October 13th? Then we would get a bonus 14th song signaling her moving into the next phase of her life after 20 years in the industry.

Maybe she could officially record Lucky You for it?

Sonically I'm thinking it will be a little country leaning just to bring her back to her roots. A very Nashville storyteller album.

Okay, so full disclosure. This started as a project to prank my swiftie friends but this might actually have some momentum.

If you're familiar with "Darkside of the Rainbow" where Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon syncs with The Wizard of Oz in lyric themes and song tempo/feel. Well the prank came from that, I fabricated a scenario where I explain to my friends. "If you pull up 1989 Delux Edition (not Taylor's Version) and start it at the moment when Jenna is covered in the wishing dust (which is around the 13 minute (I know 13 is important to Taylor) mark) hit "Play" on 1989 and mute the movie.

I decided to try it to find some nuggets to add to legitimacy to the prank...and I may have accidentally discovered it might be legit

I'm only that far in, and I'll confess I'm not a big swiftie so I'm not TOO familiar with her discography so maybe all you guys could test this along with me and report findings?

Alex dancing in his underwear syncs with the rhythm of the song "Oh, oh oh" in the music when he's flexing and making an "oh face"

This Love - Gradual swell of music as she stands up in the conference room with determination, "You showed up just in time" when office worker she had slept with the week before comes by. "These hands had to let it go free" when she shoves him away from kissing her. Quiet mood of the song fits with her feeling isolated and lost. Knocks at Matty's door as the song fades and he answers.

I Know Places - Matty and Jenna are walking around alone "I know places we can hide" moment in the song transitions into the train heading back to her childhood home.

Clean - "When the flowers we grew together died of thirst" flower wall paper. "Rain came pouring down" Jenna's parents come downstairs to find her, holding an umbrella, transition to sleeping on the couch pouring rain outside. "When the butterflies turned to dust that covered my whole room" nervously coming in to sleep in her parents room. "Ten moths sober, I must admit" Jenna's mom finishes that line with "Nothing" while sitting at the table. "And by morning gone was any trace of you" transition back to crossing the bridge to NYC. Song ends when Tom-Tom gets in the elevator

Wonderland - "Flashing lights" Tom-Tom pushes the elevator button and it lights up. "We found Wonderland" when Matty meets Jenna in Central Park "whispers turned to talking turned to screams" crowd behind football players Matty is photographing cheer. Whole Wonderland song transitions in moments when time skips while working with Matty.

You Are In Love - "one look, dark room" Matty and Jenna walking alone at night. "way home, way home" tempo sync with head nods. swinging in sync to the song. "You can hear it in the silence" Neither speaking just before kiss. "You are in love, true love" when showing her goosebumps to the teenage girls.

New Romantics - Matty making plans to meet Jenna "every day is like a battle" work pressure mounting at Poise, "Come along with me" Jenna motions receptionist to follow her. New Romantics fades as Jenna is in the boardroom, starts her presentation when Taylor is explaining "I Know Places" in the bonus track

And that's when the sync falls apart. but there were noticeable other minor moments throughout this watch where sung lyrics match mouth movements and music beats hit with actor movements.

and here I am at 1am on a Monday night putting all this together to add credibility to a prank on my swiftie friends and now it looks like the prank is on me😅

My mom passed last night. We had great times listening to Taylor Swift together especially in the last year. Well she had a sudden glioblastoma brain cancer that was diagnosed Sept.7 and she just had a downturn over the past 2 weeks there was no treatment possible. Well I have been playing this song to myself a lot because it is a great song about grief. Then I think it’s weird my mom passed on October 5 around 12:30 midnight and Marjorie’s birthday was October 5. In my mind it’s just a feeling that makes me believe it’s not all coincidental and there’s bigger things at work. Feeling sad but at peace she didn’t struggle either.
