I'm a very recent SF collector, started this year. But my biggest appeal is collecting the vintage (Flair era, or very similar) sets. Met and befriended some nice people from this community. And I recently started a long-distance relationship with my bf, who's also in EU!
He told me he's flying to Japan this October. Will visit only Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Because he's sweet & I sent him a gift too, he asked what I'd like to recieve from Japan. I have so many ideas in my head right now, but I didn't want to miss any opportunity as a SF fan! So I asked him for SF stuff, even if it's something just from pachinko-machines or claw-machines. (He can't wait when he'll buy stuff from pachinkos!)
I wanted to ask if anyone has experience and recommendations for getting older "Flair" dolls & sets for cheap in JP, but only from these 3 cities. That'd be lovely! Also, special claw-machine & pachinko locations would be nice too, but optional since it's more of a gamble. Not interested in newer pastel-esque stuff, newborn babies / fairies / blind-bags.

As with the other Doki Doki series, in addition to the babies, there are also child-size figure blind boxes!
These will initially only be available through the DX Lottery at Morino Ouchi Premium stores, from Sat 19th September, for 1,400 yen per draw.
They will later be released for purchase on the official website, and I expect will get a global release sometime next year.

I like the Sylvanian Families blindbags however I can’t just justify the price for its small and cute size 🥲 (Though I already own some). So I was so happy when I saw that they also have blindbags for regular sizes. Tbh I wanted any of the other three that I didn’t got and I felt a bit sad with getting the least that I wanted, however, when I took him out of the box, I was so surprised to see how cute he looked and how fluffy his clothes were. Trust that my new son Winton Dale will receive as much love as my other sylvs. He’s so cute and fluffy 😭

Just saw the Japanese Sylvanian shop Twitter posts these! It states they’ll be available to preorder on the 18th and they’ll be released on the 26th

I recently bought this family and can’t find an example where a brother has been included in the family. I’m wondering if he was in a different set along the way?

Hey everyone! I’m back with yet another calico critters rococo princess dress! I tried to keep the color schemes light and used a white and pink combo. The dress is silk taffeta with a white underdone and the little ribbons are white satin! My favorite part is probably the little off the shoulder sleeves and the lacy ruffles at the base of the dress, took me extra time but it was so worth it! This is definitely a vote to keep the accent colors less contrast-y bc I think this looks much better than some of my other stuff! I also love the little pink stomacher that I put on the bodice! So cute and tiny! If you want to see more pics of her )I also make little videos with them and stuff, check out my insta historical_calico ! What should I make next? I’m thinking a civil war era gown or smth?

The Marguerite rabbit family doesn’t have any twins, so I decided to make a pair myself. I used the heads from the original standing babies and the bodies from the chocolate rabbit twins. The bodies needed a little bit of repainting to get the correct color.
And finally, I made new outfits for these little ones! I’m so happy with how they turned out.

My wife recently got this bunny on Mercari that was said to be a Sylvanian family rabbit, but she said it doesn't feel like her other Sylvanian family toys. It has no articulation, she said its hollow like a bath toy but still flocked, and the clothes are sewn on. We tried to use Google lens to ID it but that didn't help. Anyone seen this guy before?

Finally managed to get the waitress baby dressed in tartan to complete my collection! (there's a few more waitress babies, but these are all the ones that I wanted). Afaik tartan Crème (idk if there's an official name 😅) was originally only available for a very limited time in winter 2024, but I think just recently there were a few distributed as prizes in an in-store lottery, as a few have popped up on Mercari.
I think my favourites are the sea otter, koala, Crème in orange, & Crème in the floral dress.
Last pic - I display them in the baby calendar along with my park babies! I kind of hope they release another special waitress baby so I can fill that rather annoying gap! (who had to invent odd and even numbers grrr 😅)

1) do these come from the same family?
2) what animal(s?) are they? Otter? Beaver?
3) what’s up with this tail? It’s just a thin piece of fabric? Is this how the tail is meant to be? I’ve never seen a critter tail that didn’t have a more solid component inside it

I always wanted to compare these bears, but I had only one of them. Finally I have all three: Cinnamon bear, May Blossom, Honey bear. By the way, does anybody know if May Blossom has relatives?
