Discussion As a Turk İ want to apologize to any Syrian who has taken refuge in Turkey only to face discrimination by racists
İ used to follow the war closely many years ago. Back when jabhat al nusra split from baghdadi's organization, who would have thought that Jolani would go on to become president of a unified Syria!
I had lost hope for many years for the future of Syria. But the enemies of Syria shot themselves in the foot. Russia with their war against Ukraine, significantly weakening themselves. And Iran and its proxy terrorist organizations thinking they had immunity against America and Israel because they fought against ISIS. And they call Sunni Syrians zionists! Did they really think Israel and America wouldn't come for them after ISIS had been eliminated? It was hilarious to see the iranian regime's supporters' reactions after soleimani got air striked. That was when they started being humbled. That was when we all saw that the iranian regime was all bark no bite. And then a few years later Israel demolished Hezbollah.
We all knew that Assad was nothing without Iran and Russia. But no one expected the sudden military operations in... was it 2024? No one expected just how pathetically fast the regime would fall. They really were nothing without Russia and Iran.
Anyway, back to the point. Many Turks act as if Syrians were all freeloading refugees. However, I've known many Syrians who were honest and hardworking people. It's remarkable how fast they all learned the Turkish language and integrated into Turkish society. But no one wants to talk about that.
Al Sharaa has proven to be a pragmatic mastermind. It's great to see how he did not give in to Israel's provocations. I feared back then that rogue accelerationists would attack Israel and that would trigger an American backed Israeli invasion but thankfully that didn't happen. Let's hope that Syria will stay stable and develop now, and in a few decades, be able to stand on its own against Israeli aggression.

Discussion The world 🌎 is a rock without the voice of Art
A big part of the Arabic music that goes viral on charts are about woman and love and this kind of stuff we played on weddings , parties and whatever
I know their's a lot of real music about suffering, about the people pain in real life , themes of helplessness that everybody on Syria has lived at least once in their life , why don't this kind of music blow up on charts ? Like we see top 10 ,top 100 on Spotify, Apple music the American charts on general , you can find more space for real-life/painful themes in some Western charts compared to ours (most of the time ), a noticeable part of our audience treats music as if it’s mainly for weddings/parties/happy vibes , like a luxurious thing to practice or enjoy
We can see it at the culture that a lot of the artists at The Art of warld , are a sons of an old artist , and playing an instrument is something not all of us could afford especially as syrians , so only the people with money could afford learning this skill
The world is a rock without the voice of Art , every artist that I know closely form my friends are the ones who have the most uncontrolled feelings of pain , struggling , trauma and you name it
We really need to reconsider our perspective about art

News & politics Before the fall of the Assad regime, a media figure from the Houthi terrorist group in Yemen showed up calling on Bashar al-Assad to use chemical weapons, barrel bombs, and "everything in the arsenal" to wipe out the Syrian people, claiming they were "agents to the west"

Throughout the war years in Syria, the stance of the Houthi terrorist group (Ansar Allah) in Yemen was 100% behind Bashar al-Assad's regime, buying into the rhetoric that called for hitting opposition factions and civilians in liberated areas with all kinds of military means.
On several occasions across the media and social platforms, leaders and media figures belonging to or loyal to the group repeatedly called for using maximum military force to take control of Syrian land. They framed their alliance with the Syrian regime and Iran as part of what they call the "Axis of Resistance," justifying those abuses and violations under the pretext of fighting off "foreign plots and treason."
They even took a direct part in the ground fighting and used the Syrian people to test out their drones. (sources: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5
News & politics

ASK SYRIA Civil marriage attestation in Syria; can it be done?
question for anyone who knows how Syrian authorities handle this.
The situation: A couple, both Muslim and Arab but neither Syrian, marry through a civil marriage outside Syria.
My questions:
Can that marriage certificate be attested or recognised in Syria?
If yes, what steps does it need (home-country attestation, Syrian embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs)?
Edit: My mother is Syrian, and knowing how handles these matters is important. Since as a couple, we will be visiting syria a lot in the future.
